A lot of the guys that you assume never play for us actually get in on special teams, but regardless, there is still a non-zero number of players on every single football team in America that will never see the field for their entire playing career, and it's perfectly normal.

In short, your belief about this is just wrong. Happy to help, though.

Alabama had 37 players this season that did not participate at all, and only 2 of those were freshmen.

So once again, your belief to the contrary is just wrong.

If numbers are an indicator of recruiting success, in 2024, UM had 51 Montana players on the roster. MSU, 46. SDSU had 26 from South Dakota. NDSU had 21 from North Dakota. Wyoming had 7 from Wyoming.

Well, I’m glad I didn’t play when I was at UM. I wasn’t very good so I could have set on the bench for a couple of years.
