We were after him in recruiting out of HS. Hoping we might have a chance, but maybe he’s looking to go FBS.
I 100% do not understand this.
A 2x all American at a position of need. What’s so hard to understand?I 100% do not understand this.

Did we offer him out of HS? After he transferred out of NAU? or both?
I believe out of NAU for sure, not sure high school.Did we offer him out of HS? After he transferred out of NAU? or both?
Would he fit with this offense? I understand his potential ans a former 5 star and he played well at Cal Poly. I don’t think we need more one and done at that position. We need a leader to take the reins and lift this team up.Former 5 star, Cal Poly/Utah QB Sam Huard in the portal. Would he even consider coming here?

Personally, I like really big lines, but that's my bias. Edwards was roughly his size, and he was good for us. I think losing him hurt us. This kid has also been an all-american, so he can ball regardless of being on the lighter side. Georgia was very successful running multiple, including 3 man, fronts with Nolan Smith as a hand-down DE in a three front at times, and they were the best in the country. Adding a guy like this will help confuse where the blitz is coming from with Wilson also being a threat. He can help get into the backfield as well as add pre-snap confusion based on where we are lining up he and Wilson. I'd imagine it makes us more multiple, and we know that this staff loved having as confusing a front as possible in the past.I 100% do not understand this.

That is my read on it, anyway, for how he would fit in our defense.
Need to get all the O-Linemen and D-Linemen we can, here's another perhaps we should look at:
My point was having both on the field at times can add to some confusion pre-snap, and hopefully some quick pressure. I don't know a ton about this kid, and I'm not trying to make the point that he is a perfect fit or the savior. You just sounded like you didn't see any logic in adding him to the team at all, so I was putting forward a possible logical framework where he can help.Kale Edwards was 6’5 with long arms.
Short and light isn’t a great recipe for a 3 man front. They could use him as the stand up pass rusher, but that’s primarily Wilson’s role, and why take your best pass rusher out of his best spot?
With all due respect, Georgia isn’t a good analogy. They’re dealing with physical freaks over there. That’s not the case here.
He transferred to UC Davis for his senior season. He's not transferring this year, he has no eligibility left. That post is from last year.Need to get all the O-Linemen and D-Linemen we can, here's another perhaps we should look at:
I would be very surprised if he ends up FCS.Idahos McCoy entered the Transfer Portal yesterday from OSU, was a really good FCS QB
