The Coaching Carousel

Utah State looks like they're down to 3: Bronco Mendenhall who I'm now told is back in the mix, Bryan Harsin, and Jason Eck. Rumors are that Eck and Harsin interviewed yesterday and Bronco will interview today. The perceived frontrunner is believed to be Bronco, and if that's the case, the New Mexico job will open up. I'll update if I hear anything else.

I laugh every time Harsin is "in the mix" for a head job.

Ever Cat fan I know (including me) hopes Bobby 2.0 stays forever. 2-4 against the Cats is the worst performance since the gris invented football in the late 80's. There is genuine disappointment in all Cat fans that MSU won't see the gris again this year in the playoffs to make it 2-5.
Ever cat fan? It's given that the English language is a challenge at MSDUI but cherry-picking records is right in the wheelhouse. BH is currently 7-6 against MSDUI including recent beatdowns in 2021 and 2023. He's 2-2 vs. Vigen.

UNM would be a good place for Vigen and all other former Cat coaches. Schools like Fresno and Utah St aren't going to hire someone like Vigen.
I think Vigan would be a great fit at UNM. That would be a great place to bring his staff, his sons and a great place to live.
