Had a bear of a time getting stuff edited and up, thanks everyone for the patience today. We're live, you can find us on all major platforms as usual. Colter Nuanez with Skyline Sports joined up, with a bottle of tequila, and we dove right in. There was the Brawl of the Wild to cover, talks generally on the team/program, and the outlook moving ahead. I share some scouting on Tennessee State and we talk on them for a bit. And even though we went long again, I made sure we hit every fan question.

Our 2nd to last question is a good one for all, coming from a pod listener. A group of guys walks into a bar, one from Missoula, one from Shelby, one from Bozeman, one from Butte, and one from Great Falls. Who drinks the most, who wins in a fight, and who passes out first? 🤣

That comment was incorrect and stupid. That's not true. One or two of the commentators were not right on some stuff, in my view.

For such high expectations after last year, this season totally sucks. Bobby has to look in the mirror and ask WHY? Would be nice if he would share his conclusions with us fans.
 
Great pod. Colter is right, the Cats have caught up or are beating us in every measurable, not just football. How do we course correct is the question.
 
People who say this are correct, but we also need to acknowledge that UM has improved significantly in almost all categories since Bodnar took over in 2019. Hell we were in the gutter when he took over and he has completely pulled us out of it. UM has been trending in the right direction and is on a strong path to succeed for years to come. Sure, Football season didn't go the way we hoped it would, but I think this team will get back on track next year and UM as a university will continue to improve on the strong trajectory that we're on. It's gonna take time to catch back up to msu school wise, but UM is night and day ahead of where we were 5 years ago. The future is bright for the University!
 
Purely off the podcast, I have a random question regarding recruitment.

Are the coaches unwilling to change with the times, or is the staff (early in the recruitment process) looking for players who are faith-oriented individuals?

A chilling fact of Bobby 2.0 is where they have finished in the conference standings. 6th, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 1st, and 5th in his 6 years back at the helm. Couple that with a 2-4 record against the Cats. Bobby 1.0 is much different than the 2.0 version.

From recollection, in the past 4 years, after Hauck got going, UM is averaging 4th in final FCS rankings according to the polls. Again, according to Massey, which the playoff committee uses, 5th in Big Sky equals 7th in nation. 3 MV schools and 4 big sky schools.

If your team is rated 7th in nation, who cares where you rank in an uneven conference?

Is it possible for people like you to focus on more irrelevant info?

You can keep hanging your hat on some irrelevant poll, but they are 5th in conference and 14th seed in the tournament.
