What am I missing with Ah Yat?

I sometimes get the feeling that some of you guys hate Ah Yat on a personal level lol

Look, I get it, I think Fife should be the guy, too, but like...you've made it your whole personality on this site for the last several weeks. We get it.

It has nothing to do with personally "hating" AhYat, literally everyone has said he just needs more time to develope, he shouldn't be the guy this year etc.

The true anger/frustration is with the Coaching staff for reasons unknown to us (hence the theorizing due to it not making sense) why they keep trying to force the issue. By choosing to continue splitting reps between AhYat and Fife despite it being statically proven to HURT the team the most this far in the season it makes 0 sense. Data doesn't lie, and according to the SI article and how the PSU game went, its clear what the best option is.

Way better passer. Throws a way better ball. Can throw long. Has a much stronger arm. Needs work on some reads and some decisions.

He may be a better pure passer. But Tommy is way better at getting the ball to the right spot on the field.

I might be the only poster near (not necessarily in) DK2B’s corner, and almost as big a believer in KAY. I think Fife should probably start and maybe even play more, but I hope to see KAY too.
The coaches are playing both on purpose (and not just to “develop” KAY) and BH said if he didn’t like it, he wouldn’t do it. Somehow egriz knows better than the coaches. Big surprise. Those saying they will turn off the tv if KAY gets in sound like bad fans. Coaches know what they are doing. This is our identity this year. Embrace it.

Reading coverages, processing information, timing and anticipation. AY has a better feel for the game in and out of the pocket, usually moves away from pressure better, much more athletic and accurate. Most of the team likes him a lot more than other QBs on the roster. They know, they play with him. Pease knows too

Who knows what this coaching staff is thinking but at times it certainly doesn’t look they are confident in 2024. After spring ball my wife and I were heading home I said it looks as if Fife is more mature and would probably be the guy. In October I said Fife is the guy. All this mutated into WTF is this coaching staff thinking? This is an experiment gone bad kind of like the monster in Young Frankenstein.
After the season I sure hope Bobby gives us a hint of what the hell that was all about because it sure the hell didn’t work out.
Play Fife for 60 minutes on Saturday and give us a chance!
