Cats Hang on to Sneak By Davis

You need receipts to remember when an exchange occurred? Not very smart, are you?

My threads are terrific and effective. It’s funny that you let me bug you so much on an internet fan board.

I grew up a Cat fan. I was asked to join the Cat QB Club. My step-dad was a longtime ME prof at MSU. My mom worked for the MSU Foundation. I was recruited by the Cats.

You are an embarrassment to Cat Nation.
When's the one way flight to Siberia? How hard is it to get asked to join Cat QB Club? What turned you into a Griz fan? Why don't you stand behind your even up bet offer?

I don't bring receipts on here. Try to keep up.

All internet bets on anonymous fan boards are dumb. I'm pretty sure you know this to be true. Keep reading.

Your need to continuously start new threads about about the Cats, that serve no other purpose than to bait Cat fans, is exhausting. Speaking as a actual certified Cat troll, please stop. You're ruining this place.

These bets are extremely dumb, and again, your thoughts on why I don't take the bet somehow proves I don't believe what I'm saying or otherwise am unwilling to back up what I'm saying, is dumb. The thought that I don't have this kind of money to bet is dumb. Please PR. You're better than this. The real reason is that the idea of having any kind of real world interaction with you disgusts me. I've said this before and I'll say it again, the only way I would ever stop being a Bobcat fan is if one day you decided to turncoat. I would never, under any circumstance, be for team that has you as a booster.
PR is pretty crafty. I've noticed he'll spout off about how much better the um coaching staff is than the Cats, better OL, better QBs, how the griz will crush the Cats, etc. blah blah blah. Then if any of that proves out and the griz win he'll say how smart he is and how we're just a bunch of idiots (See last year). But then if the griz lose, he'll just say he was only saying all that stuff to irritate Cat fans and that he actually knew the Cats had the better program. Win Win.

You've described many, many controversial users on eGriz. We even have several resident trolls acting like Griz fans who can only post negative things about the Griz. If the Griz lose a game, they get to be right. If the Griz win, they get to be "pleasantly surprised, but the Griz got lucky", or some shit. You've been around long enough to know this. Please don't tell me you've just now cracked the code.

How many Griz fans get asked to join the Cat QB Club? The Dickenson years and my sister living in Missoula. Why don’t you show me my supposed even up bet offer? Who would bet even when spread is 17?

Here's the reality of the U.C. Davis game that people aren't really going to like around here:

It was a blowout made close by refs and a fluke.

Down 30-8, the Aggies turn it over on downs but are saved by a phantom PI call in the endzone. The receiver ran into the Cats DB and they threw a flag. New set of downs. Should have been over then and there.

I couldn't see this on the live broadcast, but Ryan Tootell said that Larison clearly fumbled going into the endzone on the next score and the Cats recovered, but the refs called it a TD and never looked at it. Another point at which the game would have been over, 30-8.

Then comes the fluke-- an onside kick that takes a perfect bounce. Credit to UCD for pulling it off, but any football fan knows that getting an onside kick to take the perfect bounce is luck. They almost never work.

Hastings then completes a long catch and run that the garbage camera operators didn't show but that Gregorak fully expected to be called offensive pass interference, which set up their touchdown. That gave UCD 77 yards.

There's a reason that Davis could do almost nothing for 3 quarters and suddenly seemed to score at will. They had help.

If this game is correctly called, it ends 30-8.

As it is, I'm fine with it. MSU got a scare put into them and won't be tempted to get complacent. But if people are looking at that final score and think there's actual parity between MSU and UCD, they're mistaken.

Oh BS. Your post and excuses are beyond stupid. And largely incorrect. If the Cats didn’t get breaks, they would have lost by 2 TD’s.

If.....If.....If..... And if the fox hadn't stopped to take a dump he would have caught the rabbit.

Neither the whole game happenings or stats support your position. It's simply a case of "wish it to be true." But its not. One team played better early in the game and one played better late in the game. it really is, that simple.

Oh yeah, if only the Davis QB hadn't missed the wide open receiver behind the linebackers in the middle of the end zone we'd see if the Scats could finally win an OT game at home.

I notice that my take on the game ticked some people off but they didn't actually respond to anything I pointed out in the game. I think that's telling.

Bro, you're usually pretty reasonable, but we could do this with every game we've lost this year, too. I don't think that game is going to have any bearing on how our game goes this Saturday, but you don't have to do this. lol

No one here cares about any of that, just like I'm sure you don't care about the minute grievances we'd have over our games.

The UC Davis defender fell down on one of your touchdowns, which was the only reason Rohan Jones was open down the field, should we strike that from consideration as fluky, too? We got hell from cat fans last year about how punt return TDs are rare and lucky, dang I guess there's another 7 points off the board.

It's ok, you don't need validation from us on this game. It doesn't hurt you at all if Griz fans think you aren't as good as you think you are. Your team has a chance to prove it this weekend.

I'm not looking for validation. I just gave my opinion on the closeness of the game because Hoops created a whole thread to talk about the fact that MSU snuck by Davis. It seemed relevant to the thread.

This is a good post and fairly accurate, although I would modify that and say that one team pretty much dominated for about 55 minutes and the other team dominated for about 5 minutes. As LV stated though, they didn't really dominate for those 5 minutes in terms of like winning the line of scrimmage or anything, but yes credit them for making some damn good plays and taking advantage of some luck bounces at the end.
