Fife let me down today

I’ve always been a supporter of Fife, but after today, my perspective has shifted. One of the key lessons I learned during my time with Little Griz was the importance of respecting coaches and never talking back. Unfortunately, Fife crossed that boundary today, and as a result, I’ve decided to now support Ah Yay moving forward—win or lose

Imagine coming in being told you could fairly compete for the starting QB job having the deck stacked against you all year. Then still showing up day in and day out and making the most of your opportunities only to be told it wasn’t enough and knowing your college career is close to the end with only 1 year remaining. Imagine sitting through that first half today and then doing in a few plays what couldn’t be done in the first 30 minutes. You let that emotion out only to be once again treated differently than any other member of the team. Today was far more indicative of the character of a 60 year old man than one in his 20’s. There’s clearly not enough room in WaGriz or Western Montana for more egos than some of the egos we currently have in this program.

I wish Fife and Ah Yat the best and support both of them. I believe Fife is the QB of the present and Ah Yat is the QB of the future if we can keep him. It would be an an absolute disservice to this huge senior class not to play the best option moving forward though just to prove there’s only one way (the BH way) to skin a cat (Happy GrizCat week)!

I disagree. Sometimes a player needs to stand up for themselves and the Team. Why didn't the Coach get on the other players for unsportsmanlike conduct, excessive celebration?

Aren’t you a giant pussy!! Thank goodness SOMEBODY on that team had some fire in their belly today. Hauck looks like he was overseeing a funeral today. Team is earning just what they are putting out. Then people like you come out here and justify that crap. Get out of here!!!!

How was the coach out of line?
Singling out one player to scream obscenities at for his penalty while not getting on anyone else's case who had the same level of penalties. Fife came in and jump started the offense which was DOA in the first half thanks to Bobby playing the wrong QB. Bobby should have been bowing down and kissing his feet instead of screaming at him. But like I said, that's just my opinion.

There is a reason he chewed out the QB and not the WR. That interaction may be the best thing that happened.

He was shown on national TV reaming his QB who just led the team on a TD drive. It showed him as a immature spoiled guy who has absolute power and wants to justify his flawed decision on rotating QB's. He has god like power over the football program. The press is terrified of him. His record in no way justifies his actions.
I'm interested in your take on the interaction. You are a bobby guy but thoughtful some of the time.

He reamed a QB that made a boneheaded decision. Expectations and tough love.

I disagree 100 percent. Imagine showing the Griz coaches, fans and school time and time and time again that you are a much better and much more effective QB than the guy they are playing. Imagine the stats backing it up as well as have been proven many times. Imagine getting benched completely (he wasn’t going to play today) and watching the offense struggle like crazy and score ZERO. Points. Then imagine coming in only due to injury and leading the team to a TD very quickly and efficiently. Then imagine your coach, who has screwed you over all season long, lights you up like the 4th of July on the side lines not once but twice after that.

I fully support Fife telling Hauck to ef himself. Hauck deserved it. I don’t blame fife whatsoever and am glad he stood up for himself. The coaches have failed him miserably and he will be transferring out on season end. I’m done with these coaches too to be honest.
