McDowell,

It absolutely was the cause. You must have missed the second half of the North Dakota game. Weber would have had the ball far fewer times with McDowell at quarterback, not to mention he would have had runs that broke Weber's will.

The Griz have better QB's right now. Cliff did a nice job, but all he had to do was be a game manager and not turn the ball over. He kept the chains moving, and the defense and special teams were phenomenal last year. The Griz have a better offense this year.

i think mcdowell would have possibly looked better in the current, more experienced offense than he did last year.

I don't disagree. I am just not in the camp that thinks McDowell could cover up the flaws on defense with his play. I think he is very good QB, but don't think he can consistently take over games.

I think he got a bad concussion early in the 2nd quarter of the North Dakota game, you know "if" he was playing and the we would not of had Fife, so then when Ah Yat got hurt we would have been in bad shape.

He was a great leader who elevated others around him.
My impression is that some on the team didn’t like him. He didn’t elevate others. He could run and pick up first downs, and was a mediocre passer who didn’t throw many picks. He had a nice season for Griz.

I agree with this statement. Plus he had a bad attitude from what I saw which would lead to the team not liking him among other things. To me it felt like he though he was better than the team was.

Okay. The game manager that took the Griz to the National Championship. You're as dumb as they come.

Players loved him. That was a hell of a mediocre pass to win the game against Furman.

Niether current QB is even close to McDowell. I'm not sure what was a more arrogant decision by Bobby. Forcing McDowell out or leaving Bergen in the game at Northern Colorado with a 24-point lead. Both will cost UM a shot at a national title.

lol. This year's team is so flawed we weren't EVER going to sniff the NC game even if we had Trey Lance or Gronowski at QB.

We Native Americans know everyone's a cousin. I see I said great father when I should have said great grandfather. Let's bet $100 on this. Let me know if you are just all talk.
Hoops know all about distant relatives. Some of his most distant and their second cousins played reffed and coached all games at all levels.
