Comparing him to Sneed is a stretch

He reminds me of a more mobile version of Humphrey. Decent arm, doesn't make a lot of mistakes and not as dynamic a threat as Sneed in the open field and doesn't look to run as much (IMO), but he can move enough to make the defense respect it.

I don't think you want him to run that much... his durability would be put to a test for no real reason especially given the stable of good backs the Griz have.

Fife is a very good qb. Clean up the fumbles and he could be a great qb. The players seem to really be confident of him.

Agreed. My main point was that I think he is a better runner than Humphrey (who also wasn't concrete feet back their either). I don't think it'd be wise to give him designed runs like Clif or even Sneed, but he is more than capable when needed.

I have been comparing him to Sneed in my mind since last summer, but I like your comparison of a slightly more mobile Humphrey. People forget how good he was, I think partly because he ended the season hurt on the sidelines, but he found a lot of great plays keeping plays moving in a way that I see Fife doing as well. Good comparison, in my opinion.

All I know is that timing dime he dropped into Racanelli on the blitz off his back foot was absolute perfection and a throw I haven’t seen Ah Yat or many Griz QBs make to be honest. To see the blitz, instantly make the throw, and drop it right in the hands of Rac after coming out of the break was special stuff.

Yes he’s missed seeing a few wide open receivers.

Also, if our running back had cut left instead of right that time we could had a TD instead of a nice gain.

At this point I’m grateful for the play and leadership of Fife. Sneed had a very good career here. Yet he had a tendency to tuck it and run despite there being downfield options. It was his nature. He also was a gambler who turned it over far more than Fife. Though I’m not trying to denigrate anyone. Sneed had a great career.

Young AhYat has shown excellent ability too. We’re fortunate to have that skill awaiting in the wings. Though Fife has earned the starting role. The team is in great hands with him back there. If he throws to the open guy on the sideline instead of the one streaking across midfield so be it. We’re driving the field, scoring in bunches, and can thank Fife’s cool head and decision making for much of it.

I don't see that at all... He holds for the XP's and some of the initial sideline celebration dies down a bit before he comes off the field but I certainly don't see any lack of support!

The ones that know for sure - because their livelihoods depend on it -are the coaches. And their decision is the only one that matters.
