Nope. Watch again. Meyer, who is playing hurt, was the one who missed. And where the hell were the LBs? Everyone f’d up on that play. Good play call by NAUHe also lost his gap on the long NAU touchdown.

Sorry bud but our safeties are horrible—all of them.Don’t you look like an idiot?
Lee had another good game. Not only did he get the game sealing fumble, he also had one of the most important tackles of the game forcing the last punt.
So you think a freshman (Boyd) should start over a super senior? Why, because he’s from your hometown of Billings?
Have you shared your resume with the coaches? You obviously know more than them.

You don’t know anything. Jaxon is terrible.Don’t you look like an idiot?

Nope. Guy in motion was the one who got the ball. The safeties don’t have one gap. Maybe you are thinking about a some LB.Meyer had the guy in motion and did miss the tackle, but Lee lost gap integrity and over pursued. They both made a poor play.
We cooperated on that big play, but other than that our defense was so good.
Sure bub. Real classy. You sound like a great supporter of Griz athletes. Did you email BH your resume yet? Or are you waiting to finish your Marlboro reds? You don’t know anything. Jaxon is terrible.
LOL, whatever. Take another look. Lee was the only guy not in a gap. 55, 44 where filling gaps, the DE was setting the edge, Ryder was with the motion and did miss the tackle, and Lee over ran the gap and ended up completely out of the play. But I get it, there is no convincing you of anything that puts any blame on 25.Nope. Guy in motion was the one who got the ball. The safeties don’t have one gap. And everyone missed. Hauck said:
Safeties don’t have gaps. That’s why they are called safeties. No one player missed on that play. It was a systemic failure. If you want to blame anyone, as BH said, blame the coaches.LOL, whatever. But the safeties actually played pretty good, so you guys just sound like butt hurt bubcats. It’s weird. If you are cool with poor safety play, then I am good.
You are a know nothing clown. Jaxon should not be on the field. I would beat your ass too. Tough guy from who knows where. Billings has the best talent period.Sure bub. Real classy. I stated in the spring that I was not impressed overall with the transfer portal picks we made .Not sure if that's on the individual coaches or a group of them.It now bears fruit or maybe the fruit itself is over ripe and that is the problem.Yep. Kind of the point I was attempting to make. We see (this year) how the "plug holes with transfers" strategy works. And the answer is "Not very well". Especially when you're plugging SO MANY holes because of an unbalanced roster or poor recruiting. That's why when someone says "This isn't on the coaches...they can't go out there and execute", well I beg to differ. It IS on the coaches. THEY brought in these guys, and if these guys can't go out and execute THAT is on the coaches and their evaluation of the athleticism and talent levels.
Guess we can agree to disagree.
I agree we do not know the calls and the scheme. However, you can easily figure out if they are playing a zone vs man, and many times you can figure out if that zone is Cover 1, Cover 3, Cover 2, Cover 4... when an opposing receiver is running by themselves that usually suggest that there was a miscommunication in zone coverage.I am not trying to be snarky, and I ask this out of a place of high level football ignorance I guess, but how do you know player assignments? I am always curious when I hear fans say that this player or that player missed their assignment. Perhaps (or probably more likely) these things are readily apparent and it is easy to identify with 100% certainty. With all of the weird stuff coordinators are doing these days, I have a difficult time wrapping my mind around what they are trying to do half of the time.
He also lost his gap on the long NAU touchdown.
safeties aren't getting downhill like we are used to seeing. Griz safeties have always been known for some of the hardest hitters in the league. It seems there is more hesitation in the backend, whether that's from not being completely comfortable with the scheme and not being able to play as fast, or maybe they are more banged up than we realize... I am not questioning any of the players, but a couple times I've noticed maybe a lack of contact courage.Meyer had the guy in motion and did miss the tackle, but Lee lost gap integrity and over pursued. #13 is going downhill all the time, so he's leaving the corners on an island. There were multiple plays Saturday that would have been big plays if the QB could throw.safeties aren't getting downhill like we are used to seeing. Again as I posted about your 4-3 misunderstanding. In a 3-3-5 one safety is almost always responsible for run support. Again, I don't know if you are old enough to remember Robby Hauck but he was frequently criticized for not being back in coverage and getting credited for tackles he didn't make. This is because many football fans don't understand the concepts. The reason many fans are married to the 4-3 or 3-4 is because there isn't a defensive concept in the world that can stop an offence with only 6 guys attacking the box, unless they are playing prevent and they think we should only have 6 guys available because we are playing 3-3-5.#13 is going downhill all the time, so he's leaving the corners on an island. I think a couple of them are good. Fife and Klimczak, for starters. I'd LOVE to see more of Otlewski, I think he's a star in the making. Seems weird to me that Johnson can't crack the O-line. Where they seem to have whiffed most was in the DB's...really thought a couple of those guys would come in and excel. Just hasn't been the case.I stated in the spring that I was not impressed overall with the transfer portal picks we made .Not sure if that's on the individual coaches or a group of them.It now bears fruit or maybe the fruit itself is over ripe and that is the problem.
