It happenin

If UM truly has zero desire to advance the athletic dept then just make an official announcement. Hey we are happy just right where we are. We will ride this ship in any direction it takes us. Yes even if that might be in the third tier of college football.
If UM has no growth aspirations then really stop spending millions on facilities. What’s the point then really. Why waste the money competing at a level that makes no money. Just to hope we can beat Western Washington and other DIV II teams along with Northern Colorado, Portland State etc we will be grouped with.
It just seems we are happy sitting on our hands.
This is how I feel too. It seems a waste to add on to the stadium, build a bubble, invest all this money in student athlete centers and weight rooms just to compete with schools playing on high school fields.
Maybe this is the direction Montana wants to go, in which case, good luck to them.
But the reason they won't make that announcement is that all the money will dry up real quick :)

The bigger money is not coming from people who want to move up, to my knowledge. It’s not a waste to improve facilities. It’s part of how a school stays near the top of FCS. Lots of tough FCS schools don’t play in high school stadiums.

Ah...as predicted a minion has shown up. The unofficial Dartmouth 50 has absolutely nothing to do with Dartmouth Football HOF that he is lying about being inducted into.
I never said I was inducted into it. I said I was in it. As I have said multiple times, all first team all-ivy players are in it, or were when I was there, and have their photos and blurbs around the weight room. It’s a much bigger deal to have made the all 50-year team and to have played and started on the best team in Dartmouth and ivy modern history. I’m sorry that you apparently never accomplished anything.

Again, there's absolutely no proof of anything you are saying about how someone gets into the Dartmouth Football HOF or that you are included. All anyone has to do is go to the Dartmouth Athletic site to see you are making this all up. There's a list of inductees and you are not on it.
Can you imagine having this amount of spare time?

The listing is for the national College Football Hall of Fame. And there's a footballcategory in Wearers of the Green, which is essentially All-Americans and 3-year all-conference players. You are a dummy.

I love posters who want to take me on in my sweet spots. Dartmouth football. Corporate/securities law. Native American matters. Bring it on. How dumb are those guys?

Lots of deflection but you are still not in the Dartmouth Football HOF.
You don’t know that first team all conference players are-were automatically in what considered the DFHOF, at least when I played. No deflection at all. You claimed you looked at the DFHOF on the website and I wasn’t in it. There is no such site on website. You lied or can’t read. The photos on the weight room wall are the evidence. Go look.

I was All New England too.

Below is from my Pac-12 friend, who is fairly knowledgeable.

Don’t know on Stanford/Cal returning sometime. Maybe.

Seems Cal and Stanford as big time programs is over . Not enough support from the liberal/radical admins that now run both universities - empty stadiums also a killer to get any interest from big conferences, also big shifts in population away from CA. On a relative basis, CA just doesn’t have enough quality players for 4 big time schools - UCLA, USC, Cal Stanford. Now that recruiting is national and big $$$ available, need to have big support to compete.

UW athletics is trying to raise $300m to close gap with big ten schools, would get 2x tv revenue next five years.

Probably next step is a super conference - merger of big ten and sec with some of the powers from ACC and Big 12 added.

Then all non footbball moves to regional.

Football players will get contracts and a revenue share.

Would be a giant tv deal if a super conference . An in-the-know guy told me nfl is 10b tv deal a year. All of existing college contracts is somewhere between 3-4b.

If a super conference, likely 8b.

At that point no way can players not get a big share. Contracts also would restrict all the transfer and poaching mayhem.

And the profligate spend on athletic departments and non football would have to be dialed back.

Also would hope the powers that be would fund non super conference to keep football healthy - since seems certain the big guys will keep poaching top talent from farm leagues.

How many athlete or football hall of fames are you in? So didn’t play on top 14 team? I need no validation. I know what I’ve achieved and most of it is well-documented. Yes, you have been dishonest. And I still don’t believe some of what you say.
14 is an odd number to pick? In any case, no hall of fames - as I said, I was an average P5 level player. Yes, you absolutely need validation - you seek it out more than any other poster I've ever seen. And honestly, I don't know how you don't already know this, but I couldn't possibly care less what you do or don't believe of what I say - you're a nobody on the internet, not someone who I have any reason to care about what they think.

Now all that said, enjoy the post-win weekend. I just got home so need to watch the replay.

14 was picked, because that was my team's ranking. Nope, need zero validation. Have the utmost of confidence and know what I achieved.
