Congrats Eli! Go Griz!
I have said for two years now Gillman should have 20-35 touches per game. I get the same story from everyone when I say this. You have to spread the ball around to keep everyone happy or they will leave. This day and age of NIL ruins lots of great players! IMO.On just 14 carries. Now imagine his impact if he actually got the workload (20-25 touches per game) that he deserves as the clear #1 RB. Maybe the staff is playing the long game here and doing their best to keep him fresh and healthy for a playoff run, but I just don't understand why he isn't getting the ball much more.
They don’t want to overuse him or wear him out. And Ostmo is very good and better at getting tough yards. On just 14 carries. 25 - 35 carries would ruin Gillman too.I have said for two years now Gillman should have 20-35 touches per game. I get the same story from everyone when I say this. Ha, fair enough!I've said it before and I'll say it again: He'd get a LOT more touches if he'd stop getting loose for 40-60 yard TD's. He's losing 4-5 carries on each of those drives by being so damned efficient.
Remember the old days when we had the lead in the fourth quarter, all you would get was runs by Chase Reynolds or Lex Hilliard? Run the ball. I disagree that 25-35 carries a game would ruin Gillman! He is a very good runner and a strong kid. However, if the Oline isn't very good, it could ruin anyone at RB position. I like our Oline this year and I would love more touches for Gillman.25 - 35 carries would ruin Gillman too.
We have THREE backs now that can do that.Remember the old days when we had the lead in the fourth quarter, all you would get was runs by Chase Reynolds or Lex Hilliard? Run the ball. I think you might get arrested today if you give a RB 35 touches per game. It's a brutal position. The staff is handling it just fine considering the drop off from RB1 to RB4 isn't all that great.I have said for two years now Gillman should have 20-35 touches per game. The 'Tommy Mellot Theory of Back Use'? Made infamous by MSdUi.On just 14 carries. Now imagine his impact if he actually got the workload (20-25 touches per game) that he deserves as the clear #1 RB. I belive so. Go to www.goodolgrizzlies.com and make and account if you haven't already. Then contact Marcus at [email protected] to see exactly how to direct the donation/payment.There a way to donate to his NIL? I'm by no means rich but I'd love to help keep him as a Griz!
