Montana Clocks in at……

Fine. Could. Apologies for a small bit of hyperbole I didn't think people would jump on me for.

Next time I'll attach an appendix to my post with every team in the FCS and a win percentage I believe in so I don't scare anyone.

I still don't think we are playing like a top 10 team right now.
I am not sure if they are a top 10 team after 2 weeks, but I think they still could beat many of the teams considered top 10.

That's fair, but I think they would need to play a lot better than they have so far this season. Maybe I'm feeling a little pessimistic and giving the rest of FCS too much credit, however.

Does ND even beat UM on a neutral field?

Yes, we have a lot of things to figure out, of that there's no question. But there are not 15 fcs teams better than Montana.
I agree - there are definitely not 15 teams better than UM. Bad loss, but c'mon guys. UND is pretty damn good and the Griz had to play the worst game I have seen them play since NAU, on the road, to BARELY lose. UND will end up top 10 at the end of the year.

I don't think mo state or north Dakota will even finish in the top half of the conference. I'm not going to be surprised to see Idaho State beat North Dakota this Saturday. I remember everyone talking about what giant slayers Butler was last year.

I will eat my hat if ISU beats UND this weekend. We can agree to disagree on where UND will end up this year.

Ok hope you have lots of pepper on hand. If there's a vegas line I'll bet you as much as you're willing to spend. Just PM me.

UND top 10? Not. They may lose to ISU this week.

What, exactly, about Idaho State this year makes you see them as giant killers?

Who said giant killers? They have some very competent coaches, lots of athletes, they played OSU very tough and I don't think North Dakota is very good. I guess were going to see

Well they’re ranked 10th…where is ISU ranked? Woulda thought that big win over Western Oregon would have vaulted them up the rankings.

It does appear that everyone's expectations for this years team was a bit high. At least for this early in the season. Good teams continue to improve throughout the season, so it's certainly not the time to be overly concerned, two games into it. These preseason games are for working the kinks out, finding out what works and who works, and refining your game for when it really does count. Nobody likes to lose, but there is no shame in losing on the road to a good team. The only ranking that matters is the one after the last game is played.
