Yeah. The FCS is pretty bad for the most part.Does anyone think we look like a top 10 team at this point in the season?
Right now? I think this team would lose a neutral site game, and certainly an away game, to at least 15 other FCS teams the way they are currently playing.Yeah. The FCS is pretty bad for the most part.

I don't see why this is such a stretch. We have a lot of things to figure out. I'm confident we will, but right now we are doing a lot of things very poorly. Thankfully we get all of our harder games at home until the last one.Please.
Another gift from the pollsters.Number 10 in your Hit Parade for this week according to Hero Sports. Deserved? Possibly, but our second half against UND did nothing to justify otherwise. UND moved from 23rd to 9th.
Does ND even beat UM on a neutral field?I don't see why this is such a stretch. We have a lot of things to figure out. I'm confident we will, but right now we are doing a lot of things very poorly. Thankfully we get all of our harder games at home until the last one.
If we play like that? I think so, and I think there are at least 14 other FCS teams that would win against that Griz team, too. Good thing we get to try and fix our problems before we potentially play them, though.Does ND even beat UM on a neutral field?
Yes, we have a lot of things to figure out, of that there's no question. But there are not 15 fcs teams better than Montana.

Of course we'd have a chance. So you wouldn't give the Griz any chance then, ya know, since you said all those teams would win.
So you believe all those teams "could" win and not "would" win.Of course we'd have a chance.
We're playing an inconsistent brand of football that would struggle against a good number of the top 10-15 FCS teams right now. I don't think that's a controversial statement considering we just lost against one of those teams.
That does not mean we couldn't beat any of those teams, hell, we almost won that game. But if we weren't at home, I think we would have a hard time winning, and would likely get run off the field by the better ones.
I'm not saying we won't get better or we won't beat teams that are ranked ahead of us right now later on in the season.
But I'm glad we won't have to try for a while, also.
I think if we executed like we did on Saturday we would not beat a good number of the top FCS teams on the road. You can argue about how many that is, or get into the semantics of how firm I am in that belief, but I'd expect a loss to the top 4-5 of the MVFC, the 4-5 best programs in the Big Sky, and a couple top teams from other conferences. So you believe all those teams "could" win and not "would" win.
So is it they would lose to all them or could lose to all them? You keep saying "would" and I was just looking to clarify, but now I see qualifiers are included.I think if we executed like we did on Saturday we would not beat a good number of the top FCS teams on the road. Fine. Could. Apologies for a small bit of hyperbole I didn't think people would jump on me for.So is it they would lose to all them or could lose to all them? You keep saying "would" and I was just looking to clarify, but now I see qualifiers are included.
