NDSU lost their top 2 at WR, their NFL RB, 3 starting OL, HC, OC, and DC. They also play at Illinois St, at Southern Illinois, at South Dakota, and have SDSU and UND at home. That will be tough to not drop 1-2. Come playoffs they will be the same NDSU but they won’t have a top 2 seed which has shown to be much more difficult.

Since you think you are an NDSU expert, please post how NDSU replaced these players who departed. Thx.

We get it, MSU Bobcats the best team in all of FCS.
Let's just forget that they have progressively gotten worse the last 2 seasons.
Still can't beat NDSU or any other team with a winning record for that matter.
Came oh so close, lost all games just by inches or bad calls.
Backups better than the starters and backup coordinators better than last year's coordinators.
Put that is your pipe and smoke it along with whatever else you're using.

They got a transfer OL and WR from FBS which will help depth. I think they will always have a good OL but they really only have 3 wr (including the transfer) who have gotten much time. RB will be not as good but still solid. More interesting I think is they got a FBS QB transfer (probably to prepare for 2025). They will still be good but those 2 wr being gone is going to hurt them

How have we gotten worse? We were the only team to play SDSU close and we finally closed the gap between NDSU. Our DC is going to be VERY good, Daly is getting praised by every defensive player. Our offense has gotten better every year and this is the first year that I can remember where we have a complete offense (good wr, good te, good rb, good qb, and great ol). I expect the cats to have a top 1/2 offense in FCS and a solid defense. If we had the gris schedule last year we would’ve been a top 2-4 seed and would’ve gone far in the playoffs. We played the #2 or #3 ranked team in the second round of the playoffs. If we would’ve beat SDSU week one then the whole FCS season would’ve been very different.

You guys were saying you had no weaknesses last year and were better than in 2022, and then you lost 4 games.

You're still going with the "the losses were close, so actually we were better than those teams that beat us" bullshit.

And jesus dude, if you had beaten SDSU? If things had gone differently, we would've been national champions. What a silly thing to say.

You lost to an unseeded team, at home, in the playoffs. "Game over, season over." The RHS difference.

I never said we didn’t have a weakness going into 23. We did play better than in 22, we just had a tougher schedule. We were 1-2 inches away from beating SDSU and you guys lost 23-3

Hahahahaha, sorry I wasn't going to say anything because for the most part I try to be a positive poster on this platform or I at least try to be for the most part. I've had my negative moments, but I can honestly say that my positive posting surely outweighs the negative ones.
Just wanted to get that out of the way before 1.FTC, 2. Reading some of your posts are just ridiculous, but this one I'm replying to just had me rolling on the floor and I couldn't stop laughing. Where do you come up with this stuff?
Your DC is getting praised heavily already? I'm assuming it's just by the defensive players because you mentioned that in another post. But praised for what exactly? He hasn't done anything and they just started the first week of practice. And when they ask the defensive players about the new DC, you think any of them would say oh no he's horrible and has no experience. Of course the players are going to praise their new DC. But to post it on here like that has any value is pure comical.
And what would he be praised about? He's never been a DC ever and your OC has never been an OC either. Now the OC for your team is also the QBs coach and he knows absolute nothing about playing QB.
I hate the Cats, but I love the kind of kid Tommy Mellot is. I don't mind admitting that because from what I see, he works hard, is humble and puts the team first and is a leader. He's everything you want in a QB. But MSU has fucked this kid royally the last few years. Putting him in horrible positions and getting him hurt because the OCs have no clue what they are doing. Instead of hiring a true QB coach who played the game and can help develop Tommy into an even better QB, they stick him with a new OC who has never called plays before and has never played QB before.
I don't know what you know about the position but it's probably the hardest position to play out of almost any sport and your team gave him a coach that doesn't know diddly about it. Basically putting Tommy in another horrible spot. Tommy has been rallying the offense on pure talent and athleticism. The last few years and it takes a toll on even the best player.
Sorry, I usually don't post like this, but I couldn't just continue to listen to some of the nonsense this guy keeps spewing. Go GRIZ!!!

Does MSdUi’s defense plan on actually tackling during any tackle football games this year? I literally laughed out loud last year watching their piss poor tackling. So funny. It looked like they were playing soccer.

"Today we had a little bit of it, and our next opportunity in full pads comes in a couple days and we'll do a little more. We don't full-on scrimmage until next Saturday, but building up to that we'll have had our moments when we went live and tested that ability to tackle and break tackles."

I’d watch the fall camp interviews with the defensive guys before you post some BS. Every guy has said how he done a phenomenal job of motivating and a played said “I would go to war” for coach. Yes players normally like the new coach but every single player and coach has heavily praised him. Also he called plays when Garza was suspended, that just tells me how you know nothing about Daly. The dude is going to pour his soul into the program because he actually played for the cats. We hired a great qb coach then he left for a FBS program, we now have a qb coach besides Houseright who will help Tommy immensely.

How could they possibly have tackled bad when they double rep everything? I mean all we’ve heard from cat fans is Vigen is so ingenious and the only coach to ever implement such a thing. Apparently they went through the reps so quickly they forgot to work on the basic fundamentals.

If you want to hear some laughable things you should listen to the cat player interviews heading into camp and from big sky media days. It’s literally all Bobby talking points that he preaches constantly. I literally heard one of them say “Iron sharpens Iron” and had to just laugh knowing the cat fans will take it on as a mantra and claim credit there too.
