How could Griz Gillman possibly be first-team all conference rb over Davis of the Cats?

As I have been saying, you never played the game. Your posts show that you don’t understand the game. You mostly look up stats and then misinterpret what they indicate. Egriz is running circles around you.
How can my stats be misinterpreted when the best teams on those lists have the best stats. The stats included are literally the most important stats.

Last year, Msdui was mediocre, period. The team as a whole was at best mediocre. Could not beat any of the good teams, blown out by The Griz (that game was over in minutes), and could not even win a home playoff game after a gifted higher seed than they deserved.

Your right… we were one win away from a 2 seed and a Big Sky championship. I sure hope thats a “bad year”

Stats are only one indicator of how good a team is or how well it is performing.

Your stats for average per carry of Cat running backs are one example. Those doesn't show who the best backs are. You need to look at multiple things, watch the runs/plays/games, the type of offense, opponents, and more, to figure out who the best backs are. Talking to current coaches also helps.

You seem to think that averages of 6.9, 8 and 8.1 mean they are better than Larsson (6.2) and Woods (5.6).

Since the Cat backups have better averages than Davis, does that mean they are better than Davis?

Look at the last champions, besides 2020 as it was the covid year. SDSU, NDSU, and JMU have always had top offenses when they win… and if they don’t have the best offense they have an incredible defense. I’d like you to point out a team that hasn’t had a good offense that won a national championship. I can’t think of many defensive FCS guys that now start on NFL teams that won Championships. I can think of many offensive guys…
My gosh you are dense, or a great troll.

Go back and read again, slowly. The point was about defenses, not offenses. I even emphasized the phrase you used.

In the prior post you were talking about “above average” defenses, and in this post you cite “incredible” defenses.

Again, what evidence do you have of only an above average defense winning a chip? If there is “so much evidence”, can you name a single team?

For those who called me an idiot for thinking MSU’s o-line would take a hit with 3 guys going to FBS- “A take that sounds like a hot take but isn't actually a hot take:

Montana State's OL will be better than last year's, even after losing 3 guys to the FBS

Moore, Perkins, and Wehr started last year. Reed and Sain started at guard in 2022 before missing last season due to injury” - Sam Herder

It’s almost like I’ve been saying the exact same thing.

No one called you an idiot for saying that. Stop making up stuff.

Your o-line lost 4 games last season. Cats lost one third of its games. The o-line and team better be better this season, or Cats are going nowhere this year.

Check the other feeds. We have a top 3 o-line and top 3 offense. We lost 4 games to the best 4 teams and 3 were close games. The pass game needs some work and the LBs and secondary needs some work. But we brought in 2 very talented receivers and now have a healthy Danny U and developed McCade and Bullock. Vigen also brought in 2 new place kickers. Point is there isn’t any weaknesses in this roster compared to 23

Well of course. Everyone-- even sheepherder -- knows the bubs' backups are better than their starters.

Fine. But that hasn’t been much of the discussion. And no one called you an idiot for your o line discussion.

You just contradicted yourself. Said you aren’t that good at linebacker and secondary, and then said there aren’t weaknesses. I agree on backers and secondary. You won’t be as good at qb. Do you have a placekicker? Are the 2 any good? I’m not so sure you have a top 3 offense. You sure didn’t last season. Your D wasn’t very good either. You lost almost all your hard games. You didn’t have an injury excuse like qb.

Saying what you keep saying and saying no weaknesses before you have even seen the team play, tells me you don’t understand the game. Do you see good posters like 1122, Rico, Hooked, Elrod, CDA, and the other half dozen astute Griz posters saying the Griz have no weaknesses and will be great or top anything?

Tell us what the 2024 offense will be. Tell us about the passing game. Who will catch what kind of balls? Can your backup qb run the main offense like Chambers did?

Pretty soon Mony will be telling us this new Cat transfer will be the best receiver in the conference:

"King, a former three-star recruit out of Grayson High School in Georgia, spent just one season at ECU after three years at Georgia Tech. The Pirates were hoping he would become a potential contributor at a position of need in Greenville, but it didn’t happen. He played just 32 offensive snaps total, with six targets and no catches. He dropped two passes, finishing with an offensive grade of 42.0.

King has five catches on 21 targets in his career for a total of 45 yards. ... 6-3, 215-pound frame"

I mean check the offers out of high school. Not sure why stuff didn’t pan out previously but this guy has INCREDIBLE talent.

If you watched the fall camp vids you would have a better idea. Almost every player on the offensive side said how much better the offense will be with one qb rather than 2, as the 2 couldn’t get individual momentum. I believe with Lonyatta, King, McCullouch, and Dowler this is the best wr core the cats have seen since I can remember. I think based on King’s film you can expect a big dude who can go and get balls (exactly what Tommy needs). Also Vigen mentions how Reed has made big strides in passing but needs work in his reads and decisions. I don’t think the cats could win the National Championship with Reed but I think the cats can still be a seeded team with him worst case.

Show us the link, articles and tape: “ Almost every player on the offensive side said how much better the offense will be with one qb rather than 2, as the 2 couldn’t get individual momentum.”

The main value was Chambers able to replace Melllott when he was hurt and pick up tough yardage near goal line without Mellott having to take the pounding.

Dude had A&M offer, Texas offer, Tennessee offer, Vandy offer, UK offer, Ole Miss offer, UNC offer, LSU offer, Baylor offer, Arkansas offer, etc. Not sure why stuff didn’t pan out early but he will be very beneficial for our offense.
