How could Griz Gillman possibly be first-team all conference rb over Davis of the Cats?

Griz running backs are and have been better than Cat running backs. In 2022, 2023 and 2024. No catching up for Griz there. The Cats need to do the catching under there.
lol.

Isaiah Ifanse
Lane Sumner
Elijah Elliot
Garret Coon
Jarod White
Scottre Humphrey
Julius Davis

And before you try to throw stats around, Cats have so much talent at RB they spread the ball around so there normally isn't one feature back.

Man, that is an impressive list! I recognize one name, but he transferred to a far better school if I recall correctly. The rest I don’t know. I don’t really pay attention to the Bubbies’ roster like you do to our’s.

It stands to reason they'd know more of our players. After all, they got to watch a lot more of our games in the playoffs.

I know the griz are all excited about what you have, and are trying to play catchup for how good the Cats' RBs, OL, and running game has been the past few years - but you still have a ways to go. Julius Davis will be available later in the season, but fortunately for the Cats - he RB room is loaded with talent once again. Elijah Elliot is coming back, a Senior, Stud RB that used to be the starting RB. Unfortunately for him now though... he's probably 3rd or 4th string because of how good our coaches have recruited. You'll get to know names like Scottre Humphrey, Jared White, Adam Jones, Colson Coon soon enough.
This is awesome. You jabbering about 3rd and 4th string RBs? The backups’ backups are now better than the starters.

Your threats do not sway me {insert Thorin Oakenshield meme here}

In fact, I love how you are constantly harping about your caveman rushing offense. Please keep it up. All you guys ever talk about is OL and rushing stats but the league and The Griz in particular have figured it out.

Until MSDui grows up and finds a defense, they will continue to be an afterthought, lil bro, one dimensional, gimmick, and not on the same level with the top FCS teams competing for a championship.

Ifanse was very good, but he wasn't playing in 2022 and 2023. Except a few late games in '22. Those other guys aren't nearly as good as the Griz backs. And the Griz spread it around too. The Griz are at last 5 deep now. So, they're playing a former starter at the slot and another guy is mostly special teams (first team all conference at that). The Griz probably have 3 guys better than any of those guys, except Ifanse.

I’m thinking Nick Otsmo is going to have a career year. Great vision, and tough. Glad he’s a Griz!

Okay Alex, I'll take "Guys Who Should Be In The Frontier Conference" for 500

So why then do the cats have the best rushing game in FCS? Is it because of the amazing o-line?? 2022 is absolute BS, Ifanse was one of the best backs in FCS let along Big Sky

You were talking about how the UA transfer would be incredible but many said he would be the 3rd string… who's bragging about backups now?

So how do all of our guys average significantly more than gris rbs?

So how do all of our guys average significantly more than gris rbs?
Because the Cat offense is mainly a running offense that is something unique, uncommon and hard to defend. Cat o-line is good at run blocking. The main focus of the running offense is the running of the 2 QB's, who are/were very good. D's have to stop Mellott and Chambers before the running backs. Stopping the backs and their running is secondary to stopping the running of the QB's and the explosiveness of Mellott.

If the Cat backs were the focus of the running offense, D's would focus on them and work harder to stop them. If the Cats played in the Griz offense, the backs wouldn't get as much average gain. Last season, it looked ike the goal of the D's, as the season went on, was to stop the run game and see if McDowell could win by passing.

Unknowledgeable football fans like you, who never played the game, tend to focus on stats, because they can research but don't understand how to analyze the game and the players. You obviously don't look at the how the runners on both team run, what kind of holes they have or don't have, whether they pick up tough yardage after contact, why they fall forward, what kind of speed and quickness they have, whether they can catch passes and pick up yardage, how they block in passing situations, whether they hold onto the ball, etc. Durability is important too.

There is much more to running than yards per carry. Ya, that's important too, but anyone can get yardage when the D is focusing on the QB's and the holes are large.

The Cat backs are fine, but they are far from all-world. Posters like you and Poor, who think they are all-world, have no credibility with me or hardly anyone on egriz. Ifanse was very good, and he played in years when the offense wasn't designed the way it is now. He could play on my team anytime. I'm surprised he didn't do more at Cal.

Maybe because, since the bubs are not aware that forward passes are now legal, that they're constantly running the ball for 14 yards on 3rd and 33, when the D is more than happy to give up a meaningless run.

I was talking about that? Bullshit. Post a link showing I said Rocker would be incredible, or anything I said about him for that matter. You can’t because it’s just another lie from you.

Good lord dude. All you do is make shit up.

Is your last name Nilly? And your first name Willy? Because all you do is make shit up willy-nilly.

David ran faster 100 times in high school. He is faster and more physical. Yes the cats scheme is better for running but if you try to say the cats offense is mainly a running offense then what is the gris offense. The gris ran the ball more than the cats man. I’m not sure what your trying to prove as you are basically saying the cats have a better rushing offense but not because of the backs.

Your team literally runs it more than the cats per game….

Well fortunately the season starts in about a month - and everyone will get to see who has the best RB's, rushing attack, total offense, defense, and best team overall.
