Montana named Top Defense, and Bergen named a player to watch.
One would presume he believes the 'Scats will beat the Griz this year...and the game will be for the conference title once again...Interesting that they provide their predicted order of finish in the Big Sky for 2024 but give no rationale behind it. They have the Cats finishing first with the Griz second which doesn't make a lot of sense to me considering how their respective seasons went last year combined with graduation and other losses, etc.

I mean, there was a LOT more in there. The prediction was just the very end. I don't follow all the transfers to all the other BSC teams, so I really liked that roundup and the talk about some of the best returning players in the Big Sky.meaningless prediction just something to write about - I give it a D-
People be wildin'.I don’t know why his prediction or feelings would ruffle feathers. After the last 4 years, neither team has shown the mental fortitude to handle the brawl as the away team.
I think the issue is that SI is no longer relevant. They probably asked their second cousin from Fargo who to pick.Who are those writers? Anyone ever hear of them? Just more clowns and know-nothings covering FCS. At least the main guys at Hero have finally learned some things and have good access to info, even if they don't know much about the actual game of football. Hero is now providing a service by gathering information on FCS and presenting it. It looks like those writers forgot to look at some of the Cat games and stats. For example, UM. 7-37 loss. 13 FD's. 280 of TO. Passing 4-16-1 and 1 TD for 67 yards. Mellott was 4-13. Mellott ran 10-108. Davis 14-107. The rest of the team ran backwards. The Cats lost 2 good all-conference o-lineman to the Portal, and 1 similar d-lineman to Portal. Lost their very good second qb, who could spell Mellott and take over when Mellott was down. I will refrain now from making my early prediction, as I did last year, that the Griz will come into the game as the favorite. I want to see what the Cats show early on and to see if the Griz are as good as I think they will be.
My view is that the game has basically been won for reasons other than which stadium it was in. In most respects, the winning team kicked the butts of the losing team.I don’t know why his prediction or feelings would ruffle feathers. Well, this people doesn't think the Cats will win the Big Sky.Yeah I don't know why people would think it's a stretch for the cats to win the Big Sky with their easy schedule and the fact that we haven't won in bozeman in almost literally 10 years.
If we can beat them in bozeman, I agree, but we've played like shit there the last 3 times we've been. Hoping the 4th time is the charm.Well, this people doesn't think the Cats will win the Big Sky.
T. Hauck didn’t design D until last season. If we can beat them in bozeman, I agree, but we've played like shit there the last 3 times we've been. Hoping the 4th time is the charm.
Very trueT. Hauck didn’t design D until last season.
Other than an easy schedule, I don't understand why people think the Cats are going to be so good this year. Last year, they only beat TWO teams with winning records. Their six other wins were all against teams with losing records. They LOST to all four of the playoff teams they faced.Yeah I don't know why people would think it's a stretch for the cats to win the Big Sky with their easy schedule and the fact that we haven't won in bozeman in almost literally 10 years.
