Top 25 Returning FCS OL

You're a hoot with your upside down logic again. The portal is one tool in modern recruiting and a good coach will use it wisely. You don't get bonus points or have the moral high ground just because you recruit most of your guys out of high school. As a matter of fact, in the current climate, it's quite possible to get guys in and then spend a lot of time, money, and energy developing them, only to have them go into the portal so that they can try their luck at the next level. How does that help your team in the long run?

The goal is to field the best team every year and it really doesn't matter where they come from.
I do agree the goal is to make the best team but I think your teams will be more consistent year to year when you develop as when you have one bad year then you won’t get anything in the portal.

The entire recruiting game has changed with the portal and you think a school can be successful by ignoring it tells me everything I need to know...bub logic.
Explain why NDSU and SDSU don’t bring in many from the portal and why they are the top two in the country…

UM has done well in the Portal the last several years, including the year UM was in the middle of the pack in the conference. You don't have a clue about football, nor Griz or Cat football.

There's zero guarantees because the portal door swings both ways. The guys you developed can leave whenever they want.

Why would players transfer to a bad FCS school… gris did well because of the chipper run.

Not sure. I think they do a great job developing so that they don’t need to rely on the portal
All I am saying, is no school, not even SDSU or NDSU, will develop enough players to win year in and year out with the portal a viable option for every school. I do think the schools will have to develop players to a point and not entirely rely on the portal, but you won't survive long term ignoring it.

Probably but it seems to be working as of late. But we will see when NDSU (27), SDSU (28), UM (24) MSU (21) lose their seniors. 2025 will be very interesting
