Does this infer Taco is the #1 player in MT and Crews is behind him? Ummmm all one has to do is watch the state title game with both of those players in it to figure out that one absolutely dominated the entire game in all 3 aspects and the other, well he basically went unnoticed to be honest.

Seems pretty even right now between cats and Griz. Guess we will find out in a few years. Only thing is they got the beef.

I agree that Crews was the best player in state. Not taking anything away from Taco, but Crews may end up being a special talent.

There was LITERALLY a night and day difference on what each of them did for their teams in the chipper. It wasn’t even close. One of the most dominant games I’ve seen by an individual player.

Its an opinion by Vim. Over the years he has been pretty honest about his picks... and year after year I don't see a cat bias.

Time will tell, but yes I think Crews was by far the best at the championship game.

Vim however looks at not only the whole senior year, but he follows these players for several years.

I know in advance I'll get slammed for saying this, but I watched Billings West play Sentinel in Missoula last fall, and I do not understand the hype around Taco Dowler. The kid can't weigh 160 pounds dripping wet. He has talent, but I am predicting that he will not be a great player for the Cats at this level. To me, saying he is the #1 player in the state is a stretch. Has the offensive tackle for Billings West signed with anyone yet? I heard that he had several FCS offers, but can't remember his name or whether he signed. Someone said the Griz had offered him.

Crews was by far the best player on the field in that game, and it wasn't even close.

I think Taco is a good player and has had a very good high school career. I also think he’ll be a good player for the Cats.

However, when Crews and him matched up in the chipper, anyone with an eye to see could see Crews completely dominated the game in all 3 phases and was BY FAR the best player on the field 10X over. Taco literally did nothing in that game, he basically disappeared. And this isn’t even a Cat-Griz thing as there’s a chance Crews doesn’t sign with the Griz at all. But anyone looking at that game objectively could see Crews was a FAR SUPERIOR player. I usually agree with Vim on his rankings, but he missed badly here.

Isnt’ that O-tackle the kid who got in the automobile accident?

Taco looked very good in the early season squeaker won by Sentinel.

I’m sure they said Tyreek Hill was too small too. Elite speed matters in this game. Taco has it so if he can stay healthy he is no doubt one of the top players in the state.

I do think Crews is the best prospect. You just don’t find DE prospects like him very often. However it’s really close so I like the tier system Vim did that makes more sense then just a straight up ranking.

big thanks to Vim and Payton......always fun to have this type of input on the board.....

+1 many thanks, guys!

Vim, is the reason you’re not posting on eGriz anymore because I haven’t returned the punch bowl I borrowed for the 2018 cat-Griz game? Good news, I glued it back together and it’s as good as new. The wife is dropping it off at the post office this afternoon.

Vim is clueless. He barely ranked Tommy Mellott in his TOP 50!

Montana Gatorade Player of the Year... Div 1 FCS Playoff Monster!

Vim = JOKE
