I find it really hard to warrant subscribing to Skyline sports when the amount of content for MSU vastly outnumbers content for Montana, which has been pretty much non-existent. Adding the website issues doesn't help either. Since April 1, here is a list of content for JUST Montana and Montana State (excluding big sky content in general, which is very good coverage btw)...

Truly amazing that a thread with this title, particularly considering the recent news, turned into a thread about Skyline Sports...

As I posted in a previous thread, Kyle Sample took a hiatus from Skyline for April and May while he straightens out some other things in his personal and professional life: http://www.missoulacurrent.com/general/2017/04/missoula-sportswriter-lawsuit/

We are anticipating his return to cover Griz football in full force when fall camp begins in August. When that happens, the coverage disparity will not be so vast. I covered a bunch of story lines out of Bobcat spring football simply because I live here in Bozeman. I would've come over to Missoula for a few practices but the media is not allowed to watch...

 I love the Pickle Barrel sandwiches. If I lived in Bozeman, I would cover that storyline. Every damned day. They welcome the media with open arms. :twocents:

Stitt doesn't want people leaking secrets about his unstoppable offense or else he might not be able to go 6-5 again.

It is a pro-bobcat outlet. Just take a gander at their twitter account. When Kyle left, not only did all Griz coverage cease to exist....but those griz fans who paid for coverage got no notice that the coverage would stop. Apparently it was mentioned in a thread, I guess.

How much do you guys think there really is to talk about this time of year, or even spring ball, for that matter? Skyline isn't Colter's primary job, and there's no one on his staff covering the Griz right at this moment. You guys got pretty good coverage from them in the fall and during recruiting.

Apparently there is plenty to talk about in bozeman...just count the content above.

He hitched his wagon to the cats...and peddles his stuff here on eGriz. He generated an idea for Griz content before there was Griz content, and asked for money. People paid for said content and got...well, they've got the above right now. Do cat fans pay a premium for their superior content?

His business model and delivery of service stinks. I don't pay for it, but I do think those who did are getting hosed. If he can't produce Griz content, then he should be providing refunds or deep discounts...

I honestly didn't know we were allowed to sell stuff here on eGriz. What are your terms for the agreement you have with him MR. T?

I don't think it's that big of a deal, I paid for 6 months back in July/August and it was really good coverage for 2/3 of the time.

My issue with it is that every action on twitter is pro-bobcat. When Kyle left, not only did all coverage disappear without warning, but the Griz got no recognition on twitter. Everything was the cats. So I saw no reason to resubsubscribe......and I don't see why any Griz fan should. They are funding a pro-bobcat marketing campaign haha

If we win in 2017....we'll get all the coverage that we want. Plain and simple. Leave the special treatment for those who go 4-7

Only two people subscribed for Griz content over the last 3 months. All of the other paying Griz subscribers were month to month and did not renew given the lack of content, which we completely understand and hope to remedy in the fall.

Again, mind blowing that there's a two-page thread about Skyline Sports titled "Greg Rachac" given the recent news about Rachac. I think you all missed the OP's original intent.

Well, as the old saying goes, all press is good press.

And I guess I'm confused. Would you prefer we harp on Rachac's DUI? Yes -- as is oft the case -- this thread went in a little different direction. But I don't know if anyone has been overtly unfair. They're just stating their personal impressions of your product and whether they see value for the cost. If you market the product on here, seems reasonable to expect critiques on here.

Mind blowing was probably the wrong phrase. Fascinating is more apt. And yes, appreciate the feedback as always!

I want to get to the point where we can provide 28 pieces of content out of spring ball for the Bobcats AND the Grizzlies. I am confident we will get there. Despite the recent struggles, Montana is still THE premier football program in the Big Sky. We want to ensure they receive premier coverage as well.

I am always looking for more griz content and can never get enough. If you can back this up Colter, and I hope you do for my sake, and yours (I would love Skyline to succeed and provide excellent coverage) I would subscribe on a trial basis....

Hmm. Being sarcastic? A bit harsh if not. No need to pile on the dude right now. Seems like he has hit some hard times
