I'm pretty sure I sat with and talked to his parents in the Missoula airport after the playoff game on Sunday. Very nice parents. In this article, I recognize the parents, I think. Their son was a junior d-lineman and backup with a high 90's number. After the game, I had noticed a d-lineman going around the field talking to Furman players who were bummed and down on one knee. I mentioned this to the parents, and they said their son, a junior, had been going around talking to senior d-lineman and others who were down on one knee. They were so proud of their son. What a bummer.

Connect the dots. Does anybody recall daily reports of healthy athletes and young people dying of sudden death prior to the Covid vaccine rollout? There were prominent academic cardiologists and immunologists warning about the potential for this from the beginning. Now Moderna has finally admitted that there are significant problems with vaccine, which has never been fully authorized and didn’t undergo the scrutiny any new drug requires. We are now also seeing a drastic spike in cancer rates among the young and a soaring ‘excess death rate’ in our population.

A recent publication in the journal Circulation has documented trends in sudden cardiac death in young athletes over the past 20 years. They reviewed records from the NCAA, the Parent Heart Watch Database, the National Center for Catastrophic Sports Injury Research and insurance claims. The student athletes had to be enrolled in Division 1, 2 or 3 schools in the U.S. and play at least one varsity sport.
This report is important for a number of reasons. It demonstrates that sudden death among athletes is fairly rare. Over 20 years, there were 1,102 deaths in these student athletes, with sudden cardiac death being the cause in 143 cases. Sadly, accidents, suicide and homicide still made the majority of deaths in this age group.
More important, the incidence of sudden cardiac death among athletes has gone down over the past 20 years. It has not been increasing and there was no spike in cases after the introduction of the vaccine."
