Zootown in the World Series

Would've been awesome to get the no hitter but impressive nonetheless. Congrats ladies!

I know, what a bummer...second to last hitter bloops one over the shortstop to break it up. Still an unbelievably dominating performance!

I assume most of these girls have offers from UM softball? That was an impressive win. Or do the top softball recruits play ASA, not Little League? I always assumed ASA was the more competitive level. Anyone follow UM softball who might know?

Generally correct top players are at ASA college showcases and region/national championships. I don't think any of the Zootown girls have a UM offer as far as I know the Big Sky catcher has a UM scholarship but she didn't play LL. All of the Zootown girls also play ASA, many on the State Championship team this year. A great group of girls. Dennis (Zootown manager) is the Big Sky Coach and should win State next year with the talent coming back. Odd story, the first baseman for Zootown was pitcher and shortstop for Zootown was catcher in 2014 when BigSky lost the state championship on the freak dropped 3rd strike steal around that made Sportscenter. Both are great kids, glad too see them get a championship.

You mean runner-up team, of course. Glacier won state.

Many of the best softball girls in the state played here this weekend: http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/sports/other_local/best-of-the-best/article_002c34fc-1b4d-5196-845a-6421c87a8217.html
