It does appear that the rest of our opponents are likely to show us basic zone defense the rest of the season. The ISU zone was a lot better than the Cats with much more athletic kids shutting down Strait inside.
Unless we find some way to exploit it with a reliable outside game I look for Weber to again pack it in and force our hand.
One side note, one poster noted a lack of fire...pretty much true. But the last 2 minutes the team showed glimpses of what they should have been doing consistantly for the previous 38 minutes. If we had hustled that hard a victory may have been in the works.
I like Wayne a lot as a person and want him to succeed, but he on the bench is so much what he is off the bench, a very nice guy but not the intimidator that Larry was. Players did not loaf or give him any crap! I still have hope, the last two NCAA appearances by UM were garnered through the 'back door', maybe it could happen again IF we get our fire back.
