First of all I would like to say that I dont like "hate" Adam Morrison, for I have seen the light and know that he did nothing for me to hate him but yet I still think he is overrated along with his team. I never said that they are a bad team but they are just not playing like a top 5 team or a number 1 seed should!

Look at the top 5 teams

Duke-Best team in the country

Villanova-plays in the deepest conference in the country and beat the number team in nation last week

Memphis-Plays in somewhat a weaker conference but they have only lost 2 games against Duke by 3 and Texas, could also make a case they should be a one seed!

Connecticut-Also plays in the Big East and has amazing competition night and night out (obviously a number one seed)

I was watching the Gonzaga Pepperdine game and I have to say that it was the one of the sloppiest games Ive ever seen. Adam Morrison didnt play a good game and it resulted in Pepperdine giveing them a game. AM didnt hit a shot until about the 3 minute mark in the first half and it really showed that without Morrison that this team would be just another WCC team.

Pepperdine was one of the worst D-1 teams ive seen play this season but really brought it to Morrison. They put their season Jarbo on AM and really had him in his shirt and it just seemed that Morrison couldnt get a good shot off. Then Jarbo got into foul trouble and the rest was history.

It just seems to me that when this Zags team hits the NCAA, that they are not gonna meet the Pepperdines of the world and they are gonna meet teams that are amazing defensivly! I just dont see the roll players for Gonzaga stepping up for them down the stretch whether AM or Batista has a bad game.

Again, I dont hate Morrison and ive had a fun time watching him this year and rooting against him! I just said that because I was sick of everybody getting all excited over them beating Stanford and blah blah blah, anyways thats my :twocents:

See Swilly, I knew you weren't a "hater"...like the other posters have said, you do make some good points. I will have to disagree with one team - Memphis. Maybe I'm dead wrong but I see them as a team that will get upset early in the tourney, much like the Cincinnati teams of old...

JMO

Memphis has gone under the radar IMO this season, I know they are 3rd in the country but they still dont get the press that a Texas, Duke, Uconn, Gonzaga but Memphis has one of most underrated players in the country in Rodney Carney. Rodney and Darius Washington are one of the best inside out combos in the nation.

They are very young which might be a concern come tournament time. They start 2 sophs 2 fresh and Carney is a senior. Wouldnt be surprised if they left early, but also wouldnt be surprised to see them late in March

22 points, 1 reb, 2 assists? Lol!

Shelden Williams scored 26 and untill I see JP or Mallon or anybody else in the front court of the Zags put up Shelden numbers, they will never be as good as ESPN makes them out to be.

You arent seriously comparing Pepperdine to GTech are you? Gtech beat a ranked opponent in Boston College earlier this season and has 3 wins the ACC. Sure they lost Byum, Jack, Elder and company this year but how dare you compare them to lonely old pepperdine.

I see you conveniently left out 5-21 from the field, a whopping 23%, 1-6 from 3 point for 17%. The only reason he got 22 is FT's. I am not saying he isn't a great player, but pointing out the double standard when you say AM sucked against Pepperdine. It goes both ways.

As for Williams, what does that have to do with anything. The topic was your ripping of AM when he had a subpar game. As for G Tech being this great ACC team, then how do they lose to Chi Illinois, Air Force? The point wasn't comparing AM or JR, it was simply pointing out that anyone can have a bad game. You have to get all defensive because you apparently can't handle it, face it, he sucked tonight, even Duke Lover Dickie V said as much.

I have come found the name "Dukie V" more apporiate nowadays than that mans real name.

Also, I was speaking on the fact on how Gonzaga is always compared to Duke, and I was stating the fact when JJ has a bad game then other players can step up for Duke and I just havent seen it from Gonzaga this year.

Ill admit that JJ had a bad game tonight, no problem with that at all. I have actually earned alot more respect for AM's game from doing all my research. It has made me realize that if you have to study a man and reasearch just to find somebody flaws then obviously hes doing something right. He is still a goofy bastard and my least favorite player in the nation (except maybe Slim Millien) but I do respect his game.

"he sucked tonight"

I wouldnt say that JJ sucked tonight in the least, he grabs so much attention from the other team that other players around him had to step up which they did. I never called Gtech a "great" ACC team, all I was saying was that a bottom feeder ACC team would probably win the WCC if Gonzaga was not in it.

They played real bad against Pepperdine. If they played like that in are house they would have got thumped. Plain and simple...
