Zags got beat.

Here. I didn't think you guys wanted me to post anymore. so I've just been reading. Well, we played horribly, but we're still going to the tournament. What do you guys think about the WCC possibly getting three teams in? Who was the one who said that the WCC is not that much better than the BSC?

I think you may just get 3 in, but only because of the upset. You don't really believe there would be 2 at large bids do you? If the Zags played crappy last night, what about the prior game where they also were taken to the wire? This has to be a disappointing season thus far as i recall several saying this could be the best Gonzaga team ever.

Ummm.....they won that game.

As far as getting three in, the difference to me is that with the upset, we still get the favorites in the tournament. If someone goes 25-6 in the BSC and loses the conf. champ. game, they get snubbed. That's all I was trying to say.

As far as this season being disappointing, well, unlike many teams, our season is not over yet. I will suspend judgment until then.

Always on the defensive I see. I am well aware they won the game...doh...I was asking how they played since I didn't get a chance to see it. I don't see the Zags winning more than 1 game in the Big Dance this year. This team just doesn't have the killer instinct of previous Zag teams imo.

Surprising game. Lou, do you know hot they got all those kids down there? If that was all on booster money, that'd be such a fun trip... well, until the loss. But still, hoops and san diego, not too shabby. Maybe GU is on spring break right now and there was some package. just curious.

The announcers, in their "pregame", said the Zags were a Sweet 16 team. :drinking:

I think they have more talent than teams past, but I agree, no killer instict.

I agree on the talent. I watched maybe 15 games this year and there were times I thought they maybe had so much talent that it was causing a problem for Few because there are only so many minutes and guys on the bench would have started on previous Zag teams. I wonder if there are any chemistry/jealousy issues.

I think inexperience may be a problem w/ gray and daye getting a ton of minutes but I don't know. Gray has played huge in a couple games, think he made like six threes a few games back then he made a couple FTs to push a game to OT. Leadership? Chemistry?

Three losses against teams once ranked in the top five (two of which have been number one) by a combined 22 pts?

Just playing bad games versus TTech and Oklahoma?

Getting jobbed by officials in Moraga?

0 for 9 from three point range in championship game?

I think our chemistry is fine. IMO we've really only played three truly BAD games that we ended up losing (TTech, OKLA [by 4], and last night). Everything else just seemed like either good efforts or bad luck or a bit of both.

I would be able to deal with an early loss if it came after a good effort. It's like if you shoot 66 on the last day of a golf tourney and lose to a guy who shoots 63, you wouldn't be that pissed. But if the guy who beats you shoots 73 and you shoot 75, you'll be pissed because you know you would have won had you only played to your potential.

Not a bad analogy, for golfers anyway, but I get it.
