Yeah, this one was done at the outset. After they beat UM in Missoula, I thought Portland would be a bit of a test for GU. Maybe the flight delay played a factor in the game. At any rate, I'm sure glad SMC lost tonight to USD. Now they can know what it feels like to have everyone call them overrated for losing a conference game on the road to a good team.

I assume you already know the final score, but they ended up losing by eight. They had the lead in the first half, came out in the second half and played no defense for about five minutes, and that was pretty much the game. I was really proud of them; this team is unable to be blown out. If any team was gonna do it, it was Memphis, and they couldn't. It's a great attribute to always have a chance down the stretch.

FWIW: I think Memphis goes down before the FF because they cannot shoot FTs.
