What about when the Eags were in it, and Griz players and fans were talking shit about how the Eags didn't deserve a seed, and the Griz played in an incredibly dull atmosphere? Did you ever go then?

Don't misunderstand. The reasons I'm not going to the game have nothing to do with the fact that eastern fans have zero understanding of how the selection committee works, or that they verbally threatened the best and most-respected AD in the conference, because Kent is more than capable of handling the criticism, as misplaced and koo-koo as it was.

The reasons I'm not going to the game include the fact that I really don't like eastern and have never been treated well there, and I don't feel the need to do the administration any financial favors. While I love college football, I don't feel the need to drive an hour either way and sit in the cold rain while enjoying a holiday weekend with family when we can all watch the game on TV together. And finally, it's difficult and painful enough watching a team I care about on The Abomination. I don't need the literal head ache involved with watching two I don't. Perhaps if the GRIZ were not playing I may feel differently.

I just find it ironic that given all that's been said about Montana the last few days, an eastern fan would ask for a favor. I respect the cajones. I just think you've got an uphill climb ahead of you.

We understand the difficulty of thanksgiving weekend and getting fans in the stands for playoff games in general. Do you happen to know what the bid was for the game? Ewu is rival 2a Idaho 2B to me.
Thing is a can't stand EWU I don't like how their players act during games, their fans are obnoxius as hell and I really like when Montana beats them in Basketball and Football. Also can't believe how ignorant their fans are about how the selection Committee works.

Buyer beware. A couple of my fellow NEZers went to the October game, paying about $100 per ticket. When they got to the stadium the seats didn’t exist! They had to grab them some folding chairs and sat where they couldn’t even see the field.

I remember hearing back in the later 90's that Griz fans took a bus or something over to Cheney once to cheer on EWU in a playoff game once Montana had been eliminated the week before. Kind of a cool occasion.

This is a nice gesture, I'd bet a handful of fans take it up. Considering what others have posted what EWU players are saying and what a big portion of their fans are saying about the playoffs and Montana, I don't think that bodes well for support.

Add in, say you're a Griz fan, you go there to cheer EWU on and they in fact win (which they should) and then the Eagles huddle up at mid-field and start chanting "ftg" haha. Yeah... hard pass on that one lol

I think the game was a semifinal against Youngstown State. It was long before eagles fans became classless assholes.

Was kinda my thought too. If the big sky does better, the conference continues to gain respect. The guy was just asking to get some fans over and offered something in return.
