Reading a few people who are sports editors I read one that listed the Bobcats as #1. His explanation was the loss that NDS had suffered to Colorado. We know they have had a weak schedule but with the win at EWU they do have some legitimacy. What is your opinion? Don't consider the fact that you do not like them if that is so.

the answer is I don't think so. NDSU has taken care of business with a better resume.. In a way I wish they were because when we beat davis and then the scats it would be pretty hard not to give us the number 1 seed...regardless of the early loses..how could you deny a team that is peaking at the right time......
 
Outside of Idaho, their opponent record is 19-53…..that’s a 26% win percentage which is a joke. Even their Idaho win is tacky as they caught Idaho on their third string QB (granted they whooped Idaho’s ass big time).

I think the Cats are a good team for sure. I also think if they played SDSU or NDSU, they would get their ass beat by 10+. A 2 ranking is too high based on their SOS and how bad their opponents have been overall. The FBS win is a joke too as New Mexico would be a middle of the pack Big Sky team.

I think they’re a 6-7 ranking type of team but are getting way too much love at #2

Weak schedule but are really good. I would say NDSU, SDSU, Cats, South Dakota, then Montana. Will see if they are a 1 or 2 in the next 3 weeks.

I love how griz fans slam the Cat's schedule, saying we haven't beaten any good teams, but it makes no sense. Undefeated. The griz have played crappy teams too but the difference is the griz lost to two of them, lol. So where are the big time griz signature wins? Squeaker wins against MO State, EWU, WCU, and NAU? We always hear about how the Cats better watch out, will probably lose to UNM, Idaho, EWU, etc... until we play them. Then it's all about, well they suck. lol.

legitimacy-hey I did not have to even spell check it. Well, there's that. Ha!

As we know EWU gave the Griz all they could handle. I am not saying the cats win at EWU gives them a #1 ranking. I am comparing it to their weak overall schedule and do give them some legitimacy as a good team.

Can we quit the SOS argument. Your sos is 33 ours is 40. Barely any overall difference guys.
 
I have a better idea. Let’s stop talking about anything to do with Bobcan’t football. This is the Griz board. The dominant team over the years. The team that beat the pants off their rival last year and made it to the natty. The team that is starting to come together and has a very tough game this week. I would rather talk about UC Davis, the rotation of the earth or even the mating habits of lemmings, before even thinking about Bobcan’t football. Who cares about the overrated team to the east where all the rich out of staters live.

Very well could be a poser. They should have won against SDSU. But a loss is a loss. I guess we will see as they finish out valley play. I thought they have looked really good as well. They played with SDSU. I feel like NDSU and SDSU are a tier above everyone. I wish we had a game with SDSU or NDSU every year as opposed to a d2 or a low tier d1 team.

Would it be possible to talk about the Cats without you bringing up the Griz? Are you ADD?
