It's been brought to my attention that the arrogant bastards at ESPN have blown yet another thing.
On their schedule, Sunday night, on the heels of tonights Griz game, UOP is travelling to SoCal to play the D-III Whittier Poets. Completely bogus. First of all, why would a school the calibre of UOP schedule a D-III, and why would they play said D-III ON THE ROAD? And why would they schedule said road game the night AFTER a tough game against a respected opponent in Montana, the return match from last year's Bracket Buster?
In reality, ESPN has a bogus source. Whittier is in fact hosting D-III Pacific University of Forest Grove, OR, in the NorthWest Conference. The NW features George Fox University, the school from which UOP snagged The Hottie, currently the coach at Portland State. Incidentally, for some weird reason, Pacific University gets well-intentioned congratulatory calls every year UOP makes the D-I NCAA Tournament. To me, that's akin to Montana Tech getting congratulated when the Griz get in.
And one wonders why the only person at ESPN I trust anymore is L-Co....
