WR - Deep Threat

I lean to so cal's position here. It was a problem last year...getting any kind of separation that is.

I don't think an extra year means automatic improvement in talent.

Things that might make a difference...Scheme - maybe. New QB - maybe. Improved O-line - maybe. We'll see.

Well we've never seen Williams except in mop up time, so that is a 100% unknown. I'm guessing all the other factors you mentioned will do nothing but help.

True - but the fact he wasn't on the field much last season means something as well, correct?

lots of people in front of him. When he WAS on the field (with Britt) he shined.

Do you agree those in front of him struggled to get proper separation last year? Or, do you think some of that particular problem was due to QB play? O-line play?

And I guess we know one person who WON'T be the deep threat this year....Jalen Hall...

Is this the same Jaylen Hall noted in another thread and podcast? It was noted he was off the team after the podcast. Is there a backstory? I don't know any particulars. Injury during fall camp?

That's where I am at.

I like WRs like Racaneli. Over 200#, over 6', good route runner, good hands. IMO, he can grab many contested balls. He may be the Griz' surprise for '23 on offense.

Are you sure Mr Trump?

No idea if he's a "deep threat", but in the most recent pod, Pease made specific mention of the good things he was seeing from Drew Klumph. The kid has some wheels - a hurdle champion in the state in his senior season.

Klumph was a two time state champ in the hurdles. Won the 300m hurdles his Jr year and 110m hurdles his Sr year. Took 2nd in the 300m hurdles his Sr year. He definitely has some speed and works hard. Was impressive in high school on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Drew did have one of the longer catches in the scrimmage. Believe it was thrown by Ah Yaht. This was a while after most of the 1s and 2s were done for the day.

4 days ago — Ah Yat went to bed and Jaylen supposedly attacked him. Beat the hell out of him. Then went on the run. Not 100% sure if they have even found ...

Seems eGriz Club members know. The plot thickens...
Inquiring minds want to know. Guess I'll get a copy of National Enquirer and get the REAL story.
