Would you sit JJ Saturday?

For all intents and purposes, UC Davis shouldn't pose much of a threat this weekend. If JJ's ankle/overall health is not 100%, would you sit him?

Yeah. I would start either Simis or Gustafson, and play the other one a few series to see which of the two steps up. I think both can provide more offense than SSH.

I also would like to make a point about whether to keep SSH as the back-up rather than playing one of the youngsters. Most agree that one of the two young guns will be our starter next year, correct? We have all seen what SSH is capable of doing, and it has not been pretty to say the least. My point is this...... if these two young QBs are incapable of even producing at the SSH level this season, why would any fan be excited about their capability next season?
I would like to have some peek at whether Gus or Simis can cut it this year so recruiting priorities can be adjusted if necessary. It would not be good to find that out next September.

For the same reason your boy Prukup wasn't 2nd string last year but you cat fans were excited about him this year.

Every Cat coach knew Prukop was the real deal last year, as well they knew Bleskin was the real deal. As bad as a Kool-Aid drinker like you wants it to be otherwise, it is not. Both of these kids are twice as good as SSH. In fact, Prukop is better than Denarius already. And get this straight, oh that of the feeble mind..... I am NOT a Cat fan. But I am a realist, something that eludes you.

You CANNOT be this dumb and function in the real world. I'll type sllllooooowwwwlly:

It's completely immaterial (as well as highly debatable) whether Bleskin is better than Shay. The only point to be made after your ridiculous argument is if Prukup is better than Bleskin. Go back and read your question and my reply sssllowwwwly and I think you'll get the point. Contrary to all evidence, I continue to have confidence in your mental skills being above the 2nd grade level.

If JJ is 75%, then he should play 24.3% of the game, SSH should play 33.4% of the game, and the third-stringer should play 42.3 %. And other moronic comments.

Don't over-value yourself and under-value your opponent, EVER!!

Well, the Cats are not our opponents this week, so I will undervalue them instead. Thanks for the advice, Rob!

We are playing to win this year and to make the playoffs. You don't play guys to see how they do. Davis is an important game, it's not a tryout for the starting job next year...

I sure wish I could feel as comfortable about this game as some others do. My confidence in the offense is no where near the level that I can predict a huge blowout of any proportion. Every game is about matchups and there are so many things that can change the outcome of a game. Although I think we SHOULD win this game.....we better play Jordy and see where it goes from there.

LOL. This is f'ing hilarious. The hyphenator is no where NEAR the baller that Bleskin is. Bleskin is in a completely different league than SSH, shit, it's not even the same game. You can't possibly look at the two and think there is a comparison in skill. Bleskin eats that bumbling bafoon's lunch. Bleskin is a superior pocket passer. No comparison.

Another f+cking kitty fan who's simply too stupid to get it.

You're probably the Alumni President.

I think we will see JJ and the offense starting to click on this one. We all know that the skill /talent is there. I think this will be the game that sparks the fire. You guys always get your shit together and there is no reason that you won't do the same this year. Personally, I hope JJ's ankle is good to go. He really is a great talent and I've always liked watching good talent play. The Griz should handle this one easily, but I think UCD is better than people are giving them credit for. Their sophomore QB is pretty damn good, although wagriz will be a bit too overwhelming for him IMO.

Everett. Damn bro. Just when I though we were friends, you have to go and pull that demoralizing emoticon shit on me. So cold man, so cold.

I'm just glad your are an outlier and not representative of most Griz fans. Seriously, you are one brick short of a load. If you are going to continue posting stupid crap, at least learn how to spell the name of the Cats QB. It is PRUKOP! You will learn to know it very well the next two years.

This is hi MO every time he gets his ass handed to him. He pulls out the old "your a Cat fan" card.

Jordy is on a scholarship...his last one. Make him play, get some TD' and sit him after the comfortable lead.

Because you both are.

And for the rest of the post,

Bleskin, isn't he the bobcat QB who threw four interceptions in the loss to a lousy Stephen F Austin last year? Though no doubt he is a man among boys compared to any Griz QB, a snappy dresser, fine dancer, and nice to small furry animals.

Now back to the OP... If Jordan Johnson is not 100%
I still say let his ankle rest another week. No I don't believe Cal Davis is an automatic win. Any team can be dangerous. No doubt Davis is energized after scoring so many points last week. Yet the Grizzlies have the ability to outscore them and win without pressing JJ for a hurried recovery. It isn't about test driving QB's for next year. It is about giving the team the best chance to continue winning through the remainder of this year. That requires a healthy JJ.

This was well put.

The Griz will win decisively on Saturday.

Will they score more than 77? Will it be a blow-out? Who gives a shit?

You should. However, watch out for that new QB they just switched to. Looks like he's going to be pretty good, he'll gouge you if you don't put a spy on him.
