Would UM fans like THE BIG SKY 12?

If UM doesn't go to the WAC...

The Big Sky 12
-North: PSU, EWU, UM, MSU, ISU, WSU
-South: Sac, Davis, Poly, NAU, SUU, UNC

it would be pretty cool to have a big sky championship game, im not sure how the big sky would decide which schools went in which division.
 
Haven't you heard the news??? According to Griz Oracles, the Big Sky is history in about five years, maybe LESS! :lol:
 
The minority for mediocrity would love that conference group of members. UM would never lose and our team could consist of only student-athletes from Montana. They would have to be born in Montana and couldn't have moved to Montana from another state.

You're finally catching on Spanks... but we're like an iceberg, just a few of us FCS whacko's rear our heads out of our E-Griz burrows and spout such nonsense, it's the other 900,000 Montana's for Mediocrity that agree with us.... damn inbred rednecks, they don't know what's best for our beloved Griz!!!
 
Just think, Hammer, you could build a wall around the university to enforce the Montana only policy and you could put Grizmayor in charge.

I'd go with C all of the above.
 
I think you can add on WAC drop down or two to the list over the next few years and maybe drop a big Sky team or two as they drop to D2 or drop football. I expect some weird changes to happen as schools squeeze budgets.

I say Ida-who? is the likely drop back-to-sanity school Poke. They can't keep up with Boise, while ISU, Montana, MSU, EWU and Weber are all natural rivals. They're a bottom dweller (okay, EXCEPT for this past football season) in a "Who are they?" conference. A small pill to swallow to gain some respectability back in the athletic arena.

What's your position on UNC dropping back to D2? Unlike Idaho, they haven't had even one respectable season in FCS.

Conferences that have a championship game in FCS cannot participate in the playoffs
 
Is this the reason the SWAC doesn't participate in the playoffs? I've often wondered. I remember playing Alcorn State (?) in the playoffs back in the 90's and blowing them out by 50 points or more.

Losing less is actually a gain in some books. That $400,000 piece of the tv contract probably buys a lot of jocks straps and athletic bras.

Officially, probably. Un-officially, the fact that they went like 0-18 (with 50 point blowouts the norm) probably had something to do with it
