Worst call in BSC officiating history?

Also the false start where the ND tackle came across the line and it looked like he touched a Griz lineman. A Griz lineman stands up and points, and he is the one that gets called.

The correct call would have been encroachment.

If you can give out shit you need to learn to take it when the reality hits

It's not "complaining about the refs". It's complaining about a group of people who are supposed to maintain control of a game, but who instead give the other team a free, unencumbered shot at our QB, essentially knocking him out of (at least) THIS game, and then calling a penalty on US for our guy protecting him. It's not a surprise that ANY success we may have this season hinges SOLELY on the health of #10. And UND made it very clear their objective was to get him out of the game. It was utter horseshit, and this is a message board where fans talk about the good and the bad of the game. That was the BAD, and we're perfectly entitled to talk about it, dissect it, and yes, even bitch about it. And if you can't see that then you really probably ought to just go back to the NDSU board.

The missed FG sure was a puzzler too.

I want to see the end zone camera angle on that one.

An end zone camera would have confirmed it. Yet a replay view from the right hand side clearly shows the kick was good. The left side of the goal post was BEHIND the ball. So although the kick was close to that left side the ball was between the goal posts.

Hard to fathom how the ref missed it unless there was clutter on the ceiling which distracted him, or he just wasn't looking. Glad their mistake didn't change the game outcome. Though this one is up there with getting called for a safety on that kick off years ago. :ugeek:

The Big Sky usually has poor officiating (I say that after MANY years of observation), but yesterday's game against UND may well have been the worst ever. I spent much of the game ranting and raving.

Btw the fied goal was good. If you stop it and move frame by frame there is a obvious point where the ball crosses in front of the far upright and behind the near one.

It was pretty obvious by the Wioux players reaction after they knocked JJ out that they were trying to hurt him. Its one thing to knock a qb out of the game with clean shots...but when you do it with late hits and personal fouls that makes you a dirty classless team. I've never seen a team celebrate after hurting another player...also their coach is a douche bag...its easy to see where that team gets their dog shit classless attitude from.

While it wasn't the BSC officiating, I do believe the call last year in the game against Coastal Carolina was worse...

Close to the worse. It's definitely up there with the time we got called for a safety on a kick return when the returner caught the ball in the end zone and then stepped out of the back of the end zone.
