World Cup Popularity in the USA

Now that the USA is out of the running for the World Cup, will any Americans care what happens in the rest of the games?

The percentage of Americans that paid even a little bit of attention to the World Cup was likely fairly significant this year. I would guess that the percentage that pay any attention for the remainder is less than 3%. Do many even know what teams remain other than the favorite?

It will be another 4 years before the debate begins anew. Since Pele, soccer has been going to explode in popularity. It has yet to happen.

I have tried so many times to watch soccer. It always bores me, even if it is the World Cup and the USA. The only soccer I can stomach are the highlights. Some of the things these guys do can be amazing, just does not happen often enough for me to stay glued to a game.

I am pulling for the South American teams now. At least we have a lot of people from those areas in the USA, and it would make for a good time in America too. :thumb:

I might have missed three games total. Unlike most in this country love sports period. As for the folk who can't stand Real Football, you only have six weeks before you get to watch the great game of American football where it takes less than Eleven Minutes to play a complete game that supposedly lasts Sixty...  :thumb:
