Pitt is done for the season except for a bowl game, and the FBS carousel always starts before the bowls. By contrast, there is a candidate on this list at UM (who many people say is our AD's favorite) who coaches in the quarters this week. Maybe he said he won't talk until the season is over. Maybe sometimes we forget what the P stands for in ASAP.

Further, maybe the bad timing was Delaney's announcement. Had they kept that under wraps and said, "we will reassess after the new year" they could do interviews without the current shitstorm where everyone knows we have to hire someone.

I have nothing to back any of this up.

Chryst has been saying for quite some time he wanted to be a UW head coach at some point, plus he bleeds Badger red. Probably important has they want to be a destination, at not have their coach jumping ship so fast like the last two.
