Will Vaccine Passports Creep into Stadiums and Sports?

Oh boy. A 13 paragraph “diatribe” at 2am? And you still ducked the questions. It “seems like” and “appears” you may have finally cracked. Get help. For reals.

I love shutting up Cat Fats. They will have this huge rant and you know it makes no sense because they can’t answers the simplest of questions—reporter questions like “who?” or “why?”.

I never asked why people are more concerned about Covid than other ailments, but that did not stop you from ripping that strawman to shreds like a rabid flying monkey. Instead, I keep asking super simple questions and you keep ducking. Let me see if I can help you (again for like the 49th time).

Question#1. Who is pretending? The answer is: you. You want to speak for everyone or the “general population” but you can’t. I’m not pretending—you’re not speaking for me. Or my family. Or anyone I know. You “seem” like a great representation of BM. Maybe you are speaking for them. If so, just say that, but don’t claim to be speaking for “everyone” because I am sure the families of the 2million dead Americans in our “general population” will be thrilled to learn it was all just pretend.

Question#2. Why are you pretending? The answer is: god only knows. My guess is it’s some dumb political issue or another conspiracy theory. Great. Good for you. All that I ask is that you stop spreading misinformation. The crazy part is, you’ve come on here and complained about actually getting Covid. In fact, I “seem” to recall you saying it kicked your ass, and you had some long haul symptoms. But it’s all just pretend, right? Do you see why you get called on your blather? If you don’t like getting called out on your dumb opinions which you can’t even articulate, then don’t come over here and share them (ad nauseam)

Sorry about your daughter. That’s horrible.

Two million dead Americans?? The actual number is approximately 540,000 and not all of those deaths were even proven to be caused by covid, just people who died WITH it.

And more Americans die every couple months than the total number who have died from covid.

And, as you know, deaths in wars is not a contagious and dangerous disease.

Nope, your number is a couple weeks old. The actual number is now closer to 560K, with about 1000 deaths/day, and 70K new cases/day. And that does not even include the number of unreported deaths (see, we both can play that game ;)) Over 1500 deaths in MT alone. I was told there would be no math, and it was okay to round up once you go over 0.5.
Irregardlessnessly, does it change anything?

Two million is still A VERY long way from 560,000. You can't fudge numbers that much and expect to be taken seriously.
So like just over a month from now on the current trend is “A VERY long way” to you? Ok. It’s not for me, but that’s cool.
You were the one who fudged the number. You said it was actually 540 when it is actually not, while I was clearly using round numbers to prove a point—whether it is 540, 560, or 2mil, doesn't really matter because basically none of those families were “pretending”.
In the immortal words of Tex, it’s as “real as a muther fucking donut” to them.
Who’s expecting to be take seriously? Certainly not me, and especially not when I’m on a roll and pouring it on some poor schlubb from east of the divide

I said APPROXIMATELY and I was only off by about 20,000 or so, while you were off by about 1.4 million. 560,000 is closer to ZERO than it is to 2 million, but it's obvious that you don't understand numbers so carry on.

Yes sorry I suck at math and I will be the first to admit it. Thank you for correcting me. I was not trying to fudge any numbers—they are all hugely unfathomable to me. And it all started as a typo; I meant to say 1mil. I was just trying to prove a point and play with Suckacats. Thanks again.

Are you saying that in just over a month we'll be at 2 million? Because if so, you probably need to stick to the "no math" agreement....

Ok, my horrible math skills aside, please let me see if I can get this thread back on track.
Here goes. I saw Suckacats running into Heebs Fresh Market the other day to pick up more guacamole toast and white claw and she was wearing a worn out chin diaper. It made me think of this song, and that’s how I knew she was pretending.

I know. It’s contagious. And as deadly as this contagious virus is, somehow you, me, egriz, Montana, the United States, and the world had survived to a tune of 98.7%.

So I ask myself; why are “we” (you, me, egriz, Montana, the United States and the world) “pretending” I.e. acting like we’re so concerned about a tiny percentage of people dying all of a sudden?

ILTC, you keep mentioning survival rates. Those didn't occur in a bubble. In large measure they're as low as they are because of the steps taken to mitigate them: lockdowns, mask mandates, advancement in treatments and -- yes -- the vaccines. You have been a staunch and vocal opponent to all of those measures (perhaps excepting the vaccine, to which you seemingly have an oddly neutral position).

Seems to me you can't have your Rona and eat it too. You can't say we shouldn't have taken the heroic measures we did while trumpeting their successes.

Look, (and this isn't personal to you as I firmly believe you'll get the vaccine because you're an intelligent person) if you don't want the vaccine -- if you believe your right to say no is greater than the common good -- great. Good on ya, I guess. But decisions and choices have consequences. And one of those consequences might be you can't attend football games and concerts. That's not the fault of the team, the university or the concert promoter. That's the fault of the person in the mirror, who felt the need to make a political statement in the time of people's need.

Can you post something that proves mask mandates and lock downs mitigated spread? Genuinely curious.

I hope some on here realize that not only the vaccine manufacturers, but the CDC and WHO cannot claim that if you are vaccinated, you won't catch COVID again and spread it to others. The only claim they are willing to make at this point is that if you do catch COVID again, the symptoms will be reduced. The trials weren't designed to test that aspect.

Seems until they can prove catching COVID again and spreading it won't happen, you are inviting one huge super spreader event to occur at a vaccinated only game.

While my top statement is true, I am joking about the super spreader part, but there is a hint of truth to it.

True, but almost no one who has had the vaccine seems to have spread the covid. The theory is that those with the vaccine who may have gotten slightly sick don't have enough covid to spread it. AstraZeneca, not yet approved in the US, has shown 100% effectiveness against getting very sick, hospitalized or dying. The other top vaccines seem to be quite similar. Who cares if you get the equivalent of a cold. Since I did the AZ vaccine trial late last year, and then had an approved vaccine, I've been following AZ and the other vaccines very closely. Interesting,.

...I think if people want to get vaccinated and are compromised great get one!...I personally don't want it
in my body...I got a flu shot 8 years ago nearly kill me... so I will pass and just do my best to stay healthy
....close to 99 percent survival rate I think I will do fine! ...so if you got your shot pat yourself on the back but
don't expect us to do the same!...

Yeah...I don't care if you get it or not. You do you. It's sorta still America.🇺🇸

yes its call freedom...every man needs to do what his conscience tells him to do!...if your up in years than maybe its a
good idea!....no reason for politicians to used vaccines as a weapon against law abiding tax paying citizens and divide us
...but how can they let a crises go to waste....1.9 trillion Covid relieve package and only 8 percent goes to Covid..

After I poured pasteurized milk on my Wheaties, I started working through this thread. The only thing more delicious than my safe and nutritious breakfast is the irony that some people (who don’t even trust the government to count votes) won’t get vaccinated because there has only been “emergency” FDA approval before more government study.

Of course. But you wouldn't believe it anyway, so I won't bother wasting your time or mine.

I am not trying to "prove" anything, but this is a timely article.

There is a huge debate waging whether it's 8% or 9%.

Would it waste your time to comment on the level of concern of spread from unvetted and untested illegals crossing the southern border?

Are you falsely accusing the US Govt of not testing illegals looking for amnesty or griping about the people that are sneaking into the country?

I just hope someone lets us know how many of those folks are expected to show up for games in Missoula. I have only had the first dose of the Moderna vaccine, and will get second dose in a few weeks, but need to know if any booster will be needed by August.
