Man this defense is tough to figure out. There have been some games where they could not tackle air, or stop anyone. Then there have been other games where they got beat bad but played so great in the second half or we wouldn't have stood a chance (ala South Dakota, Cal-Poly, almost against EWU, Weber). Then today they played 4 quarters of dominant defensive football. I think today shows that it really starts with the D-line. If they are getting penetration and pressure then we are going to have a solid day.

Brock Coyle said the UM defensive line is the best in the Big Sky since day one. Not just recently. I think I'll take his word for it.

The D is good. They've been good all season. Some of you didn't recognize it. Not perfect, and not without some bad games or halves. In the past several games, they have been very good. Dominant at times, like most of today. Improved tackling in recent games. Good play by secondary too. Healthy, it seems. Hopefully coming together for the big playoff run. Go D.

They sure have been playing great I hope they can keep it up. There are times when you play teams that are obviously better and they beat you. You can't get upset about that but when we were having so many missed tackles and questionable defense play calling earlier in the season that was frustrating. So it is good to see that they have made some great strides in those areas. :thumb:
