Man I hate to be eeyore but I don't see anything that points to us being an improved team next year...please God make me eat my words

Seriously??? How many kids that started against the cats were seniors? I see three on offense and only one on defense. You don't see how a bunch of underclassmen who had a bunch of playing time last season won't be improved next season?? Really?

This team was a QB and a few breaks away from playing this saturday. The QB problem will be fixed next year. I have high hopes that the Griz will be back being the Griz next year.

My greatest concern is the conference as a whole is catching up (for the most part). Maybe catching up is the wrong phrase as i do not think are recruiting is as strong as its been so maybe the phrase is we have come back to the pack. Fewer Games are a for sure win and that makes coaching very important. Like I said I hope I have to eat my words :thumb:

People think the recruiting isn't as strong because the Griz didn't have five more JJ's behind the original JJ. Did you watch Tyrone Holmes play this season??? True Frosh is a beast!! His recruiting class is full of potential beasts.

Exactly and those Freshman walked out of their HS and onto our campus looking like that. Imagine what a summer of training will do for guys like Holmes, Kidder, and that little stubby kid from northern Washington.

agreed...talent is not the problem. If MD sleeps through the games literally, instead of sleeps through them figuratively, and someone else runs the show...we will be fine. In fact, I think the Griz can make the playoffs despite MD because of the talent on this team.

Wait, does this comment make me unsuccessful in life and business? If it does I retract everything above....

A QB away...

You mean a defense away? Look how many points they allowed.. The Griz have scored enough to win most of the games. It's the defense that bent over an took it. Now I'll let you et back to knowing nothing about football.

You, of all people, would know what THAT's like, wouldn't you?

A good QB wins us the UND game (despite the 680 yards passing the defense gave up), the MSU game, the EWU game and possibly the App State game.

SUU was the other one I couldn't think of off the top of my head. NAU...well, we basically shut down after about 20 minutes of football there... :? :?

And the defense lost most of those games. UND is the most obvious. Griz win if they stop UND's offense. Any decent team could beat the Griz last year. Why? Because teams could pass all over them. It takes more than an offense to win. With how crappy the defense was the Griz would need a superior offense. Something the Griz didn't even have ladt year. Difference is the defense was outstanding and had amazing players. Keep being ignorant though.

Btw my reason for predicting a 5-6 win season was because of all the talent that was lost on defense and a new DC.

Griz D lost the UND, App St, NAU, and EWU games. Griz could of easily been 9-2 in the playoffs with a defense.

GRIZ D was bad yes but with NAU game NAU went on 34-0 run.... how many offensive possesions is that for montana. Plenty of blame to go around... offensive Griz stats LIE...consistency was not there

The defense shouldn't of gave up so many points. Also coaching staff should of changed the offense to something they knew how to work. That game is kind of the whole team n staffs fault. But, still if we had a D that could of shut them down too its a W.

Completely agree!

Other than the Griz, there isn't a team in the FCS that I like better than ASU!

As much as I like App State, if JJ was the QB in our game with them, it's my opinion that he would have shredded their secondary, and we would have won that one by at least 10!

+1 Grizo but I thought you were the one who liked Georgia Southern?

I still like Georgia Southern a lot, but I've yet to make a trip to Paulson Stadium. Luckily, I took a trip to Boone, NC last September, and saw absolutely everything Kidd Brewer & "The Rock" had to offer.

The folks at App State are absolutely amazing! They know how to tailgate, and how to treat visiting fans! On our journey, the small group of very vocal friends I was with wanted for nothing!

The Mountaineers are pretty much a mirror image of the Griz, and that's why I like 'em so very much!
