Will MSU hang a 2021 Runner-Up banner?

My guess is they may not even acknowledge they were ever in the championship game, or that anything happened in Frisco.

They won’t put up a ‘Runner-Up’ banner at the stadium; all of those hang in the field house. But the Chronicle and msu marketing department will try to spin it as some triumphant victory. I can see the feature story tomorrow in the Chronicle: “The Bobcats proved their Vim in Frisco! ‘The point is we all had fun and cheered for our team’ said Karen Tresky, who moved to Bozeman last Wednesday from North Carolina. ‘My husband and I have been die hard fans ever since we moved here! So long as the bears lose, or the wolverines, or whatever team is in Hel-eena or Missoula. Yeah, go Cats!’”
