Saw a news report last week that Tinks thought he may get his first minutes back against Carroll..need to find that link...

Not being negetive! But how many games does a player get to play before they lose a medical redshirt? I remember Lillard got to play what seemed like 4-6 games before he got hurt?? I feel if Will makes it past that many games he is strong and healed, but if he tweaks it before then is he elligible for a medical redshirt?? I would hate to see another Dan Moore situation!!!

I think it is 20% or 30% of the team's games. I remember, Weber State scrambled and added a regular season game that year, to make sure Lillard would get his medical redshirt granted.

Especially when he and the coaches have control of the situation, unlike Dan Moore!! Dan didnt have a choice!! His career was over, but a couple of plays against his biggest enemy, The CATS!!!!! I know some of you guys are excited, but I just think we are wasting a great talent, and a entire season by playing him! Next year could be the best ever for Griz Ball if Will redshirts!! Why risk it on this team that is learning the ropes and has no big men?? These young guys will be better, smarter, and stronger next year! Will could shatter records at UM, and deserves too, and have a legit shot at NBA! This year, everything is at risk????? Hope Will and coaches are making the right choices?? One Dan Moore was enough this year!!! Kick Ass Will!! Glad your back, just worried!!! :clap:
 
I think the rule was you can't exceed 30%. Lillard played in the first 9 games so it ended up being too close so we added that game @ Saint Mary's to be safe.

But does it even matter? He still could use a regular redshirt, is correct?

I am glad to see he is back practicing and Dec just barely got here. We need Griz and Weber to be good, so far the league is looking much worse than last yr.

Thats right!!! That was crazy how they made that work!! They played a official game after the BigSky Tourney!

I guess your right, but if he plays in a few games, and then rehurts it? Thats what I meant?? Thanks for the info, and it was good to see Weber do what they were suppose to do on their home court tonight! :clap: Too bad NAU, and UND lost to medicores on their home courts? UNC lost to a decent UNI away tonight badly?? :oops:
