You can always spot a sports fan who really doesn't know sh*t about the game, because he spends hours selecting the right stats to futility attempt to prove a point, instead of just cutting to the chase. The Cavs didn't cut Will by looking at stats, they cut him for his on-court play compared to other guards on the team. It really isn't that complicated!

Actually, most of us can spot a 66 year old poster who never played the game, or any game, other than JV baseball. And that would be you.

"Most of us"? What, you got a few turds in your pocket? I guarantee that I played basketball at a higher level than you ever did, yet you continue to "correct" every freakin' posters observations, because you sit in the Gold seats. You are a joke.

Sorry, you didn't play college basketball. Doubt that you even made it through high school basketball.

I was the starting point guard for a high school with 3,500 students, and played in one on the toughest basketball conferences in Ohio, known for being a top BB state. How about you, rec league?

Starting guard for Bozeman high. Guys I played with got scholarships to and played hoops at Duke, Washington State and Montana State. Another played linebacker in the NFL. Two others played 4 years of football for Washington State. Several played football for the Bobcats. The starters on my senior year team won state championships and Meet of Champions (all classes) in high jump, low hurdles, high hurdles and long jump. I was only on a relay state championship. Let's hear about all your wonderful teammates.

Oh, and I call BS on your 3500 high school. Let's hear the name of your high school. I know you were from Dayton, so please no BS. Looks like the largest high school in Dayton now has 1,000 students, Belmont.

No offense to either AG or PR, how long has this online personal war been going on between you 2? Honestly to God, it seems like you 2 go at it one way or the other in way too many threads. You both are entitled to you opinions. Currently it is worse than in the past. Why? AG/Growler actually seems to be making much more of an effort to control himself here of late (by the way thank you for that AG). PR, you too have toned things down with many here too the last few years (Thank you too).

You both are capable of getting along and some what respecting people, is it asking too much for you 2 to stop the online sparring with one another for the sake of EGRIZ? Honestly, it does not matter any more what the subject of any thread is, somehow you 2 just continue to go at. Why? Seriously, what is the point of derailing so many threads with your continual online war with each other?

Believe it or not, both you actually can bring good things to this board. I doubt this request will change the sparring, but I felt it was worth asking. Yes, I believe in miracles and you 2 are capable of better. To me and many others, this war between you 2 takes away a lot from EGRIZ. I hope I am not asking or expecting too much. We shall see. A treaty would be nice, at the very least a break from your war here.

Oh and back to the topic, Will Cherry. I hope his overseas experience will lead to another NBA opportunity. No doubt in my mind, he has the leadership, attitude, and defensive skills to be in the NBA. Will Cherry, all of GRIZ NATION will be pulling for you and supporting you. GO GRIZ!!!!!

ACTUALLY... I'm the poster who most accurately fits the above description (and I am 66)... except that my jv sport was basketball...

But in all seriousness, I agree with MtGrizRule's plea for civil discourse and hope for continued good threads on Montana hoops -- minus the distraction of acrimonious trash talk from posters who can't seem to control their testiness.

My BEST to Will Cherry -- who stands as one of Montana's best-ever pure point guards -- hoping he'll get another chance to show what he can do for an NBA team. Actually think Rip City could use his skills.

How sweet would that be? Lillard and Cherry sharing the PG spot and maybe even playing on the court at the same time, depending on matchups, and line ups. I'd LOVE for this to happen. :thumb:

The problem is that Playa Rape can't stand anyone exposing him for what he is...... a know-it-all, name-dropping, wannbee big shot, who did not even attend UM, but who thinks he can bully ADs into hiring his buddies, and threatens to withhold donations if he doesn't get his way. He provides nothing to the board, because he sole purpose for posting is to stroke his huge ego all of the time.

I talk football, but many of my threads get hi-jacked by a cadre of sugar-coating idiots who are incapable of any critical analysis regarding their team. Will I defend myself against these pin heads....... you betcha! But, if you go back through each thread which is hi-jacked, it is NEVER me who starts the mud slinging.

Growler/AZ Griz and I have been discussing since before you were born, MGR. Stay out of the way or you will be crushed, again. Can't wait for your kiss and tell comments from Griz hoops camp.

I assume you wear Depends. Judging from Alpha's video of you from several years ago, when you were picking your behind, it looked like you were wearing some kind of bag in front. Hope your heath is better now.

Nice try at humor. A comedic lawyer. Don't quit your day job. Oh, I forgot, you're a big shot partner now so you have more time to chase jocks around campus.

oooooooh! I am sure they are all trembling in their Gucci's over your mightiness. Could you be any more of a tool? :thumb:

Hm....fundraiser idea for the Basketball teams.

PR vs Growler in a boxing match to settle this dispute once and for all. The winner stays on eGriz, the loser can't return. It'd have to be in an enclosed cage though with no back door to run out of (for obvious reasons).

I'm sure about 90% of active members on eGriz would pay money to see that. Ticket sales could go to support the basketball teams.

I'm sure some side bets would be made too. If betting was allowed what do you think the opening odds would be? I'm guessing it'd open at about 5:1.

We'll need a couple people to brainstorm for good attention grabbing titles to promote the match.

I'd prefer tackling (no pads) between narrow cones, perhaps on the bar side of the Mo Club--with the back door blocked, of course.

PR strikes the 1st blow in this match. he is already up 1 point for good response. Low blows lose points.
PR 1, AG 0................how many rounds does this go? :thumb:

Will's team wins LKL title. Will is second leading scorer with 16 (1 less than the high scorer) and goes 4-6 from 3-point range. 1 assist and 2 turnovers in 22 minutes.
