Jake never gave up basketball. He dropped down to LC State and was a two-time All-American and the 2016 Frontier Player of the Year. He went to LCSC with another former Griz, Nic Emerson. Emerson really hasn't been as dominant as I thought he would be in the Frontier, but Wiley, when he feels like playing, which isn't all the time, is a man among boys in the paint at the Frontier level. He's been one of the better post players that I've seen in my 15 years of covering Frontier/NAIA hoops. The issue, as it was when he was at Montana, was work ethic and attitude. Never-the-less, EWU is getting a really good, and now polished player.
