WILDCATFAN's prediction of the future of the BSC

Yes I know talking about conf affiliations for some is getting old, but I think its an interesting topic and it really could effect the Big Sky and it could start as early as next month.

In just a short while, I honestly think the Big Sky will look like this.

Football:

Cal Poly
Eastern Washington
Idaho
Idaho State
Montana
Montana State
North Dakota
Northern Arizona
Northern Colorado
Portland State
Sacramento State
Southern Utah
UC Davis
Weber State

Basketball:

Boise State
Denver
Eastern Washington
Idaho
Idaho State
Montana
Montana State
North Dakota
Northern Arizona
Northern Colorado
Portland State
Sacramento State
Southern Utah
Utah Valley
Weber State

Boise could put basketball in the Big West, but im not sure the Big West would take them, but they took Hawaii so you never know.

I think the WAC is going to dissolve rather quickly here real soon, and it will start when the "Mountain USA" super conference takes USU and Lou Tech, and the Belt takes the Texas twins and NMSU.

Seattle I believe goes to the WCC, (But BSC affiliate membership is not out of the question)

Now the topic of San Jose,

Option A. They drop football, and move all other sports to the Big West.
Option B. They wont be full members in the Sky, but if they keep football, they may be football only affiliates in the Sky and everything else in the BW.

What do you guys think?

If Idaho swallows their pride. They're already pretty insecure about BSU's success, slumming back to "DII" with their tails between their legs would probably be too much for a lot of them to handle

SJSU will never drop down, they'll drop football or stay

You left out Seattle U for basketball. They are in the WAC and will need a BB home as well. WOuld be a good BSC addition in Oly sports

I think they go to the WCC, but the Sky as affiliate only is not out of the question, it would give the Sky an even 16 team basketball conf

Gonzaga lobbied against their entrance last time around, which was a big surprise until you consider that Gonzaga doesn't want to share the Seattle area with two D-1 schools in decent conferences.
