You suggesting a coaching change or what do you suggest we do? I’m not calling you out, I’m just genuinely curious what you think they need to do.

Right now, no. TD has brought a lot of success and I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he can make the changes necessary. Ask me again in a year.

He was fortunate to have Rohrie want come play for him and Oguine was a great player, along with Pridgett. Look at TD's overall record. Take out the 2 years he had those two and what has he done? 12-point favorite at home against a 9-15 team and lose.

Right!! And while you're at it, take out Michael Jordan, Phil Ford and Sam Perkins, and what did Dean Smith ever do, huh?

Well, he managed to get his players into non existent classes for years...

I feel that Travis is doing an outstanding job with what he has to work with. I think he gets the most out of the players who buy into what he wants. Maybe it's not the style you like but he has been successful with it.

Great post. It's sad that our rivals have to remind us to appreciate how good we have it. Thanks Oldrunner; appreciate the Weber guys who post here.

I was really expecting more than the middle of the pack, it's the team he built. over all these years.

I don't disagree with this, I just wish TD could tweak what he wants to help on the offensive end.

Sounds like a "you" issue.

What does that mean “with what he has to work with”? He’s been here multiple years….he has exactly what he wants….

Far be it for me to speak for OR, but if I had to guess, I’d say he’s suggesting TDC is doing this with the second youngest team in the bsc.

You can try to deflect but this goes beyond me if you can read but hey if your happy with the results that's why they make still participation medals.

Who’s responsibility is that?

And I don’t get it:

Cam Parker - Senior
Mack Anderson - Senior
Blakeny - Senior
DCH - Junior
Owens - Junior
Martin - Junior
Vazquez - Junior
Beasley - Soph
Whitney - Soph
Bannon - soph

That doesn’t look like a young team to me.

I am actually realistic with the results. Anyone that didn't see the shortcomings of this team weren't paying attention or are just a big homer. I said in November that this team would be battling for a first round bye in the tourney which is exactly the situation.

Yep. Eight years, not that anyone is counting.
IMO, his stock is in a bear market.

That doesn’t look like a young team to me.

But 3 of the starting five are sophomores and they account for at least 75% of the minutes with the minutes in inverse order of scoring average (Whitney averages the fewest in points but the most in minutes played). So, while the overall team is not young, most of the time the players that are on the court are young.

And the next three in minutes (all over 20 min/game) are DCH, Martin and Parker. This isn’t a young team, IMHO.

Compared to most of the other teams we are. Weber, Eastern, SUU and msu all have a bunch of Covid seniors that came back this year. SUU has 9 seniors on their team, Webers top 3 scorers are all seniors, 3 of msu’s top 4 players are Covid seniors, and Eastern is gonna have another entirely new team next year with all the senior transfers they brought in. Plus let’s not forget that Bodie Hume is in his like 20th year at UNC. Same with Bryce Fowler at SAC, and Mikey Dixon at Idaho has been in college so long, he’s played for 4 different schools.

I agree with you AZ that we’re getting older but we’re still significantly younger than pretty much everybody else. I for one had much higher expectations, especially with the way we started conference play, but it’s easy to see why we may be starting to get worn down.
