Why Should We Win?

Gentlemen, many of you are upset because we were destroyed by Washington. Why? Compare the overall level of talent of the players on each team, then compare the coaching ability of Chris Petersen and Bob Stitt. Maybe, now you feel better and can look at the positive of playing Washington which is a check in the amount of $625,000.00.

FWIW, I'm not at all upset. But I also firmly believe that the GRIZ should not lose to anyone 63-7. And I don't feel it's inappropriate to point out areas of concern on the team after watching two games. That's 17% of the season.

That's fine. No one is happy about last night.

But honestly we can't think to much into it because that's not a wholly unreasonable result. We have a lot to work on, but we also have quite a few positives that certain people just refuse to acknowledge at all.

The only conclusion anyone should be taking from last night is that we aren't in Washington's league, and that's totally okay. We could have looked better, but we could have looked a hell of a lot worse.

Remember, according to 5700 it could have been 83-7 (although he has yet to explain how, exactly)...and if we played OSU, Alabama or Clemson it would be worse than 63-7.

It's not hard too imagine. They basically ran the clock out for most of the second half with 2s and 3s.

After falling off a cliff 17% of the way down you have a pretty good idea what the other 83% leads to though. Let's hope Stitt pulls out a parachute

I know I'm going to be a lot more worried if we don't beat Savannah by 4 or 5 TD's at least than I was about anything that happened yesterday.

Agreed.

Unfortunately, all three of these early season games are somewhat meaningless in terms of rating where this Griz team is developmentally....

Yeah I mentioned that a while ago, it was a virtual lock that we would get 2 easy wins sandwiching getting our asses kicked, really tough to gauge where you're at in mismatches.
