Why not Kraig Paulson as coach?

Grizindabox like it or not I think he does have a shot. And I want to know what he did to leave a bad taste in peoples mouth? Seriously I want to know if him missing something on the guy. And actually there is quite a bit of difference between the two defenses. Paulson's defenses in five years gave up 17.1 points a game and with a record of 59-10. Gregorak's defenses in 3 years have given up 22.7 with a record of 24-13. I'm all about the facts. If this was a boxing match you ass would be on the mat. : )

I know for a fact that KP has no shot. The guy left a bad taste in many people's mouths when he was at Montana previously. And actually, there is not as much difference between Gregorak's defense and what Paulson put on the field...

Details? (I mean this in a non-facetious way)
I know people here didn't like his defense, but what other issues arose when he was at UM?

That doesn't mean he would make a good head coach.

We will see, but even though I am not a fan of Ty being the head coach, Ty has a much better shot at getting the job than does KP...which pretty much means KP has no shot because Ty will take it in a heartbeat if offered.

My last response, I wouldn't say Ty's got a much better chance. And I do agree that if Ty gets offered the job he will take it. But I seriously want to know what the bad taste in peoples mouths were? Like I said maybe the guy is a complete ass and I'm unaware of that. I've heard he's not but maybe my sources are wrong.

Okay, but what does make a good head coach? And what makes Paulson unqualified? To say that Ty has more of a chance than Paulson seems...I don't know, not quite right. I mean Ty was under Paulson and learned from him, the fact that he is succeeding now means that Paulson had to teach him something right? Which is what a (potentially) good head coach does?

All I will say is that others picked up quite a bit of the slack that was instrumental in the Griz defense having success when KP was the DC. Why do you think he was demoted or fired from other jobs? I think KP is a fine position coach, but this does and did not make him a great coordinator and will not make him a good head coach.

I lied it's not my last response. He got demoted at UNLV because talent wise they were bad. Their offense was bad as well therefore they were on the field a ton. And it doesn't help when he had to go against Geno Smith, Colin Kaepernick, Andy Dalton, Kellen Moore (winningest qb in cfb history), and superbowl winning QB Russell Wilson. 4 of the 5 are current starters in the NFL. That's why they were bad on defense.

Eh, I think that's a bit of a stretch. I mean, I don't doubt that Paulson didn't have help, and he was never one not to give credit.
That being said, when he was demoted/fired that was in an effort to save the head coaches butt, not a direct reflection on him, as its not like the team flourished under the DC's appointed after him.

Actually it is a reflection on him. He failed at both places as coordinator, and many of the reasons were the same reasons a number of people are sour on him from his UM days. All these excuses about poor talent, poor offense, and going against great OB's is crap. I thought good def coordinators....good coaches were supposed to find the talent necessary to stop other teams. Seems like a fail on all counts. It sounds to me like people making a ton of excuses for a guy that did not succeed.

I am not a big fan of Breske as a head coach, but his background and KP's background are quite different.
