Why no replays at Wa Griz?

Is there a reason that we very seldom get replays shown on Griz Vision on close plays? (Catches on sidelines, receiver catches/drops, fumbles, goal line TD’s, calls for targeting, etc)
It seems strange that we are treated differently on replays than the entire TV viewing audience because we are watching the game live.
Go Griz!

Yeah, it's annoying. Someone told me that they probably don't show replays in the stadium because they don't want to get the crowd riled up even more if it's a bad call that goes against Montana.

Not trying to defend the calls but it's hard enough being an official without the stadium replaying every call on the big screen. The last thing you need is for the stadium to get a reputation as a hard place to call a game ... whether anyone believes it or not that lingers in the mind of an official.

Replays are for the fans and are fun and interesting. The more replays, the better. Officials need to be tough. If they make the right calls, things won't be as tough.

I agree, and - things happen very quickly in the college football game, and officials aren't perfect, which means they're going to miss some things. I always think they're better off NOT to throw a flag if something isn't completely obvious. The official in the booth can always call for a review on the big important calls that get missed. Otherwise it's better to just let them play. Over-officiating is worse than under-officiating.

Let's be honest, sometimes the right call goes against the Griz and while I love the interaction, the crowd can get on the them. I like the replays and yes they do add to the "fun and interesting" index but not sure its a long term positive ...

what this dude said. it is really stupid to have someone subjectively label a play as "controversial" and then not replay it. if you're going to replay the 1 yard rush, replay the great sideline pass/catch that was ruled incomplete. regardless of what was called on the field. i was at the game on saturday and had to boot up espn + on my phone a number of times to see the replay.

Officials are going to make mistakes. They're human. Show it once if you must and move on. Note they also don't show replays of dropped passes, fumbles, blown coverages by the home team.

Sure they show replays of those plays. What are you talking about?

Yes, officials make mistakes, and showing the replays allows the fans to see if the refs were right or wrong. That is, or should be, part of the experience. Players are human too, and their plays are replayed.

Why won't UM monitor these concerns and respond here. It is childish for Haslem to say that he don't read Egriz. Haslem should have a weekly column on Egriz to explain issues like the lack of replays. Likewise, why is it that the families and fans have to wait forever to get on the field after the game. Haslem has no problem asking for money and support but won't communicate about things that bug us. We are the "mushrooms," kept in the dark and shit on.

If there is one thing eGrizzers could agree on(hard to conceptualize ain't it?)it would be the lack of communication. I would love to have my questions answered, but I won't hold my breath.

There could be a separate "Ask Haslem" forum, moderated to ensure respectful, relevant questions (and interaction) are posted. It would demonstrate a real commitment to reach out to the fans. Of course, that would take a concerted effort by forum staff which may be one more impediment to making it happen.

Uhh, I would hope that Kent is far too busy to be reading eGriz.

That said, if you have a legitimate concern or question, email him. I guarantee he or someone on his staff will reply. And keeping fans off the field for 10 minutes is a safety issue, and also allows the guys to celebrate as a team, sing to the parents and fans, and meet at midfield.

I have never, once, had a serious email or call to the AD staff go unanswered or not receive a response.
