Why isn't the Scottish lad a Bobcat captain?

why? he wasn't a captain last year either after being selected his soph year. different people have different reasons for doing things and i really don't understand how this decision hurts anyone in any way. :?

There wasn't anything wrong with Player's post. Several people have referred to DM as the Irish Lad as certainly not intended to be racial slurs.

Talking with a few msu players and they are not in love with the Irish lad. In fact some (one a starter) told me they flat out dislike the guy while admitting he is a damn good player! In any event he was not named a captain by the vote of the team.

But in the end who gives a damn?

don't think he ever said he "can't" be a captain. he was one before. i believe that he stated he prefers to not be a captain. still confused why some over here are so confused by this decision and why they are so late to realizing he decided this a long time ago?

Things I have learned from this thread:

1. Only Griz Granny can call DM an Irish lad and get away with it;
2) Don't ask questions on this board regarding DM or you will see what scat fans look like on PMS;
3) DM is already a "true" captain and the overly burdensome title and formal duties of captain are simply too dramatic;
4) JJ should not be formal captain as this will only take away from his play and be a full on distraction;
5) Scat fans are delusional enough to believe DM is the LBJ;
6) DM is as good a guy off the field so hereby no questions should be posed about him on egriz;
7) If DM is ever injured, he may have enough freed up time and resources to take over formal duties as "captain", but he may only be referred to as "El Capitan" and
8) DM is a demi-god of the nature of Thor, don't provoke him.

DM is kind of overrated, seriously, hes a good QB for the cats but what have they had since Lulay....and before that it was Bradley.

He doesnt win big games, in fact an argument could be made very easily that he is the reason they DONT win big games.

He folds like a $3 chinese lawn chair from WalMart when you need it the most.

So what if the Irish lad puts up the numbers he does every year in a weak conference when the end is always the same? I would take a guy that can win a big game over the numbers any day of the week.

Luckily we have JJ and we get both...........its good to be a Griz

Dead right. McGee has engineered a total of two TDs in the last 10 quarters against his arch rival. JJ engineered 4 TDs in his only 4 quarters against his arch rival. McGee has been overmatched against SHS - two TDs engineered in 8 quarters. JJ wasn't - 4 TDs engineered in 4 quarters.
