Why is NDSU tailgate so far away?

Well you have ever smelled a bison before? We don't want the tailgate area smelling like Greeley for the ESPN crew. There is a reason GameDay was downtown Fargo and not where they tailgate. Now if you really want to fix an injustice let's talk about how the 400 Sam Houston fans that came up here for a playoff game a few years back got split into 2 different groups. That's a travesty.
 
The info we were given is that we will set up shop in Lot G, looks to be the furthest lot from the stadium. My crew is hoping to meet some cool Griz fans and hang out in their tailgate.

I was at Griz-NDSU last year. Their tailgating didn't blow me away by any means. It seemed large and lots of people but that's only because they pack them into one paved parking lot. If they packed all of Griz tailgating into one small parking lot you wouldn't be able to move. I was impressed with the $$ people spent on custom trailers, buses, vans, trucks though. They definitely do it well but it was no better than what happens at Griz stadium, just confined to blacktop instead of beautiful grassy areas along a river. Id take zoo town any day over the black top tailgate there.

I have never been to a game there, so I am just curious.

If the Fargodome holds 19,000 +/-, and they have 2.5 times as many there at the tailgates as we do, then what do all those folks do once the game starts? Stand around in the parking lot?

There isnt 2.5x the fans at their tailgates. Alpha is being a douche, I've been to recent games at the Fargodome, including ours there last year. They probably have about the same number of tailgaters as we do. They fill up one big parking lot. Alpha is forgetting that a couple thousand fans standing on a 2 acre parking lot looks like a lot more people than a couple thousand fans spanning across 20+ acres.
 
Plus each of those people is, like, double the size of an average Montanan. That's probably where Alpha got the 2.5 number. They're 2.5x our size by volume...
